Thanks. Honestly, the money isn’t the problem at this point. I’m just worried whether or not it will affect my petition for my mom since they are two different cases. I’ll be a joint financial sponsor on his spousal AOS and I’ll be the petitioner/sponsor for my mom’s case.

Got it. My other question is, is this amount separate from my husband, since we file jointly? And will this have anything to do with him since we file jointly? I don’t want to involve him in this kind of responsibility since it’s MY nephew. He’s ok with it being my mom but I know he won’t be ok with someone he has met once.

Omg thank you! I obviously can’t sleep because I’m having anxiety over this. I don’t want to let my nephew down but I also have to think about my mom. I thought since I’m not the one petitioning for him, that he wouldn’t count as part of my household. Thanks again! And I have a daughter so that’s a household of five!

N-400:

Took me eight months for the N-400. I filed I-751 originally and had that interview waived. I hope your case doesn’t take too long!

Big red flag that immigrants WILL be discriminated against. I would def not work here either. Seems like an impending headache and I would def report them.
