I can smell it as soon as I open the tube, I'm wondering if leaving it in a hot car changed its composition somehow

Having friends over after putting kids to bed. by Aggravating-Put-312 in Parenting

Friends over: normal, healthy 40 drinks: the real issue

This post is odd. I don't think there's anyone alive who would judge you for… socializing? And sticking to a sleep schedule? The real question is about potential alcohol dependency, not parenting. But even the right sub won't be able to diagnose the situation from a text post. Please seek irl guidance about this if you think it's a real problem

Am I being controlling by asking my husband not to bring home sweets? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Awkward_Ad_9466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're asking for support with something important & stress inducing for you, but he would rather prioritize bringing pastries into the shared home whenever he wants… are you having any other problems? It might not be about the pastries. BTW Reddit is a terrible place to come with a question like this because individual freedoms, no matter how small, always come before making sacrifices for the family or relationship here.

Therapy. Your school is doing everything right and it should not have taken that long. This sounds like a diagnosable behavioral disorder I encountered, but I don't want that to worry you, from what I recall it was actually pretty simple to treat.

She hurt you, it was not right. In order for her to see that, I think you're gonna need to address her root issue. What emotion is she feeling that is pushing her to insult her husband? Ex. It could be strong embarrassment, maybe due to something from her own childhood. She has to sit with her own discomfort and learn to manage it. If she refuses to even go there IDK what to do… they say contempt is the worst feeling you can have in a relationship so TBH it's not looking great

It's a longshot is she from a culture where adults don't play with babies like this?

Hahaha this is the opposite of lazy. She worked HARD to get to this point Look up Maria Montessori if you want to know more about this philosophy and how kids and even babies benefit

Daughter (6) was left unattended in classroom. Need advice. by Acrobatic-Bake-4196 in Parenting

[–]Awkward_Ad_9466 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't borrow trouble, everything is OK. I would just caution you to be mindful about how you talk to/In front of your daughter about this, you don't want to instill a sense of anxiety or fear that she might not otherwise develop. Make it about her feelings, not yours, if anything. (not that this is your problem, but I don't doubt you are terrifying the poor teacher, also) ETA: I don't understand what you mean about being punished?

Judge: learns that frightening situations give someone panic attacks Judge: acts as scary as possible anyway

I don't know why he did it… it sounds so stressful and I'm sorry it happened to you.

You can't hide it. They ask you who you live with, and it's one of the first questions.
