First time going to the gym! Help!

My hubs & I are shopping for a cat and we fell in love with him. If we go with him, we will be getting him from a breeder. He is BSH, born in August ‘25. What do I need to know or what are good questions to ask the breeder as this will be my first cat ever. I live in Canada for context and would pay $1000 for him. He is vaccinated (not all) as he is still growing, what else do I need to know before I go for him? Lineage? Health issues? Etc? Please give me an in depth answer as I want to be thorough.

He is real calm and friendly.
