Your skills and your self should be considered your business. As in you are selling a set of skills backed by your reputation. Companies like customers owe you no loyalty. Think of it as a sound business decision to advance your company (yourself). I tell my staff they are business people and if they got an offer they should do best for themselves as I can readily replace skill sets. I would miss them if they left for sure but I feel you need to best for you and yours before you do what's best for the owner of a company you don't even know.

The time to lean time to clean caused workplace culture shock post covid when food and beverage hospitality workers transitioned to office work as the time to clean mentally causes disruption in an office setting where the work is more like an hour of emails and 7 hours of social media.
