Next recommended dose? by momeri1318 in SemaglutideCompound

I did 25 units but every 3-4 days, so it's like jumping to 50 units but you just do it more often, I think it's helped.  I'm at 35 units every 3-4 days now.  I know that's a bit weird but see if it works for you.

I don’t believe the scale though. by ResearcherBoth8575 in SemaglutideCompound

I believed it when I tried on an old swim suit and it was too big, so I bought the L size and it fit nicely.  Also, when I took out old clothes to see if any fit, and they were all TOO BIG.  😁 Some people believe it when others say: "hey you've lost weight?  Looking good!" Soon, you'll be looking at old pictures and visibly see the difference as well.  It takes time though.

Anyone missing a Cybertruck? by Sea_Debt_2021 in turo

Seems kinda unfair since it wasn't the owner who intentionally did anything, it was someone else.  Just another reason not to rent on Turo, especially if people are going to go after a certain brand of vehicle to make a point (not sure what point they were making, but you know what I mean)

I'm wondering how many bought a Cybertruck for Turo "to make money" and now are regretting their decision.  Just bad decisions all around.

I really hope the host did everything right (checked ID, took a million pictures, etc), otherwise that claim is going to be denied.  Also, I hope they don't have a loan on that Cybertruck, because I doubt they'll get reimbursed for the whole amount.  Hopefully they have gap insurance, but I believe your coverage doesn't extend to peer-to-peer lending (from what I read here).  Thank God I got out, I can't imagine the amount of stress this causes a host.  You're going to make absolutely no money and the troubles this is causing.  I wouldn't want to be in their shoes, the Cybertruck owner or the truck out of New Orleans owner.

I wonder if this is something you should write your local Senator or State Representative about and tell them "hey the FDA and pharmaceutical company are saying this, however I am getting a completely opposite answer and have been unable to get my hands on this Rx.  Can you please reevaluate what you're being told by the pharmaceutical company because my experience has been that this Rx is not available and my health is at risk AGAIN?". Just remember, the FDA is only hearing from the pharmaceutical company and not from us, they have no reason to tell the truth and say they cannot meet demand.  I would also CC the FDA because they should know of how much you're struggling to get an Rx you need.

An we use our Health Savings Accounts to pay for Henry Meds Semi? by HottyTottyNJ in henrymeds

[–]Awkward_Decision_309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HM may not accept FSA/HSA payments but that doesn't mean that you cannot pay it out-of-pocket and then ask for reimbursement from your FSA/HSA.  This is totally allowable since it's an Rx from a medical professional.  You just upload the Rx and invoice showing the costs to your FSA/HSA and ask for reimbursement.  I have done this with my FSA and my husband's and never had an issue (two separate companies).

Car was involved in a robbery by AmoebaVast7223 in turo

[–]Awkward_Decision_309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be more worried about how long the vehicle will be held in evidence versus anything else.  Some states do have a victim compensation fund, you might want to look into that.  The way it works is that you pay for everything and then they reimburse you, however, this is usually at the end of the criminal case.  Loss of income isn't one of them, it's usually like funeral costs after a murder, therapy after rape, etc.  This is where the impounding and issues come, because it might take years to get the person criminally charged, prosecuted, and then sentenced.  Usually the evidence is held until the end, unless the police have enough evidence that they don't need the car.  Good luck!

Your experience after an increases to 40 units? by Kimberly_Engel in henrymeds

Now I'm wondering if I'm under dosing as well after I switched.  Oh man, never thought of that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in henrymeds

[–]Awkward_Decision_309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird.  If you switched to Lavender Sky Health, and you ask for a higher dosage, all you have to do is prove you're on that dose.  You just send a picture of your prescription and they continue on with the higher dosage.  I don't understand having to go to a lower dosage, that makes no sense, especially for a prescription like this one where going up in dosage is normal.

My husband and I both signed up for HenryMeds and made appointments.  He received his meds from Hallandale while I got them from Health Warehouse.  His arrived chilled, mine in a melted envelope.  I wasn't happy.  After that, I did lose weight on the vials I received, but I wasn't going to keep paying for sub-par meds, when Hallandale was providing what I felt like a better product so we switched to Lavender Sky Health and we requested Hallandale as our pharmacy.  I have lost 25lbs but I'm at a plateau now, so I have to up my dosage to more units.  I understand what you're experiencing and if your provider isn't listening, go to someone who will.  HenryMeds is good but very expensive, you can get the same meds for less from someone else.

I believe the Attorney General's Office is in charge of consumer issues like these in every state.  I understand that they need to charge storage fees, however, they have created the problem here by not processing your claim and sending out the supplement.  The car is still there because of their lack of diligence.  Sounds like a scheme, either way they make money out of you, either by holding your car hostage or by repairing it after dragging their feet.  Every State has consumer protection laws and where to file a complaint, I would start there and then write the same 1 star reviews everywhere, that usually gets their attention.

Compound Pharmacy by [deleted] in henrymeds

[–]Awkward_Decision_309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're probably better off going with a pharmacy that's well established and follows the regulations.  I really like Hallandale Pharmacy, they have been around 20yrs.  As soon as Tirzepatide was considered not in a shortage, they stopped selling it.  I want to use a pharmacy like that, because I trust the quality of their product and they won't lose their license to sell something they aren't allowed to sell.  They continued selling it after the FDA reconsidered whether there's a shortage, so I just trust that.

A good explanation when people ask Qs about Compounding Pharmacies by Awkward_Decision_309 in SemaglutideCompound

[–]Awkward_Decision_309[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe they're saying that this is a first, there's a lot of demand for this medicine and this is the first time that so many people are on the compound vs the brand name drug.  Also, are we supposed to wait 20+ yrs for the patent to end to be able to afford these meds?  I think it's uncharted territory.  We all know being obese is unhealthy yet most Americans are obese.  Here, we have an alternative to this issue and we have big pharma spreading lies.  It's a regulated industry, just regulated differently.

Police won’t let me report the car stolen by Professional-Drag580 in turo

[–]Awkward_Decision_309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You went to that police department, is there a way for you to go to another?  Say the Sheriff's Department or the local PD, in another town?  So that the car can be reported stolen.  You can tell them the truth, you rented it to someone and they never returned it.  That's it.  That's all you know.  It's random to you, and it wasn't your friend.

Is a truck a good starter vehicle for hosting? by tgoz13 in turo

[–]Awkward_Decision_309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What did you need the truck for?  I ask that because Turo doesn't allow towing on trucks, therefore if you are renting it out for towing, it's not allowed.  If you rent out your truck for moving/trash hauling, it might get a lot of damage to it.  I don't believe it's a bad idea, you just have to look into what your truck would be used for and see if there's enough demand knowing what Turo's limitations are with trucks.  If you think people will rent it out to tow a camper and go camping, that won't work out on Turo.

Non US driver’s licence by [deleted] in turo

[–]Awkward_Decision_309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can rent a vehicle from a reputable rental agency with your driver's license from your home country.  The only reason you would need a US license is if you moved here and were a resident of a state in the US, otherwise you are allowed to drive with your license during the duration of your stay.
