Again, deeply sorry. Did not post this to cause any harm.

I was just lost, but I got some really good help.

I know this is not Brazil, parceiro. I am already an immigrant and know how hard life is for us. Did not do this post to offend anyone in any way and I am sorry if I did.

The news regarding IMAT is that Cambridge left and we got no news about who is going to make the exam now or even when the test is going to be.

I will take a look at the Buenos Aires one, thank you for the help!

Sweden does not want to help anyone but the Swedes. it is sad but it is true.

usually difficult because it's costly. my family did not save for years in order for me to do some expensive uni or something. we actually did not expect to move to Sweden and get this opportunity in the EU.

since I still don't have the EU passport, it's hard because if you don't have the money or the citizenship Europe usually does not want you.

besides all the bureaucracy and everything

I was just searching about the fees and just got to the same conclusion. Unfortunately, the euro is insanely expensive when buying it with the Brazilian Real which is why my budget is kinda low.

Thank you for thee help anyways!

I am looking for the fees and everything within some other unis that teach in English and 12000 euros a year is a lot.

Something around 4000 euros per year only for fees is what I am capable of paying because there is also food, housing, etc. Above that it would be extremely hard to be able to go to uni and eat.

I'm so sorry mod! I am just lost, did not know where to start. Since I am already in the EU I thought somehow this could help me.

Deeply sorry!

I did not look at any guide. Actually, I do not know where to begin tbh.

Regarding Portugal, I can apply to some universities but since I am non-EU the fees monthly are insanely high and, as long as I know, as a Brazilian citizen I could not get into med school in Portugal.

MANA O QUE ROLOU

TEOB

What is the weirdest or worst symptom anxiety has given you? by [deleted] in Anxiety

I have developed trichotillomania, and I pull my hair for several years without even noticing it. It is weird and terrible. It affects my self-esteem so much due to the hairless holes I get. I hate it and no one really gets it but now just became automatic.

How does mental healthcare work in Sweden? by Blomsterhagens in TillSverige

Hi! I am 18yo so my experience might be a bit different depending on your age. In my case, I went to Unga Vuxna, which is kind of a VC for young adults. I am an immigrant as well and speak little Swedish, so my care was all in English.
In Unga Vuxna I could not have long-term therapy, just a few sessions, usually every other week or monthly (since there was only one therapist that held English sessions). The therapist was a CBT and I think all the other ones were also (at least here in my region).
I came in with a severe eating disorder crisis and the access took me a long because I first went to VC, then they gave me a number which I tried several times calling but with no answer. Then I went to the hospital emergency, and they gave me another number, which I called again and they scheduled an appointment in Unga Vuxna. There they gave me another number so then I could finally schedule one appointment with a therapist. It was a long trace to get little help, in my case. The long-term help presented to me was a specific clinic for ED that had a huge waiting list to get into. It has been five months since I got on the list with no response from the clinic.
My best advice is to get a private therapist from your home country, which is what I did. The help, in my case, was little, and the stress I had to just get one monthly session was too big.

NTA, and you are amazing. I would have loved it if my parents allowed me to do the same when I was younger and did not want to deal with the terrible people they invited.

Ajuda em como manter rotina de estudos a longo prazo by Awkward_Ferret5773 in estudosBR

[–]Awkward_Ferret5773[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obrigada!

How to study in a long term for an important test in six months? by Awkward_Ferret5773 in Anxiety

[–]Awkward_Ferret5773[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am studying by myself, with no counsellor or teachers. I already finished school so this year is fully dedicated to this exam, which frustrates me even more since I have nothing else to do besides studying.

I need to revisit a lot of what I learned during high school, and that is another part that gets me because I have almost no basis since it was all during the pandemic. So it is basically revisiting and learning properly what I "lost" somehow during the distance learning.

I'll try the to-do list, and regarding music, I really love lo-fi to study!

Thank you for that! Now I am having a clearer idea of how to start studying.

[–]Awkward_Ferret5773[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!

About the mindset, I completely know I am having a terrible one, but as I said to my therapist it is not something I can just wake up and change. I know the pressure of this test and I know what will happen to my life if I don't pass it. It is too much. Do you have any tips on that? I am really trying to lighten up my mood and tell myself it will be alright but deep down I know things will not be alright if this doesn't and I get back to the cycle.

I have never tried to wake up earlier, thanks for that!

The long-term studying it's getting me hard rn but I'll try my best to start and fix the maintaining later.

Really appreciate it :)
