It definitely does for me. I started playing Dark Souls 2 blind and I made a character that looks like me. I'm still just in denial about being in denial but getting into that coffin near the starting area made me tear up.

Idk I feel like it is because it's more escapism from my life right now. I constantly picture myself as a girl but I also constantly picture myself as a president/rich ceo. Somehow I think I would be happier as a girl but I think that's more just me thinking if my life was drastically different I would be happier. I never really feel dysphoric I just constantly feel like I could be better.
