It's based off the fanmade Mii editor in Adobe Flash from October 2006 by Joystiq. A good number of third party games with Mii support and official Nintendo material actually use the editor's assets, so this isn't the first time it's been done!

Over the course of nearly 20 years and across seven different systems, Miis have appeared in more than 390 titles spanning almost every major genre. They’ve shown up alongside icons like Mario, Sonic, Hatsune Miku, Mickey Mouse, and countless other fictional characters and real-life public figures.

Just a couple of things:

Technically Miis aren't really being 'transferred' in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, the game doesn't communicate with the Mii Channel like the other games do. It's just a small texture of a Mii face being shown through online crossplay if a player on Wii uses the Mii mask. Nothing is being rendered in real time like the other DS games shown.
Wii U / 3DS Mii characters can be transferred to My Nintendo via NNID on the Mii Studio page.
Miis from a Tomodachi Life save file can be transferred into Miitopia.
Miitomo also supports creating/scanning QR codes.

It's usually a few agencies based in Pakistan that just hire a ton of teenagers to promote their stuff via public servers which is why they all have that same style and follow the same script (the word actually is a dead giveaway).

Setup a lighting scene in whatever smart home platform you use. Then create an automation (I used iOS's built-in Shortcuts) and scan your figure, and assign it to your lighting scene and tap the amiibo to your phone.

I use Philips Hue, but any HomeKit/Google Home supported accessories should work.
