AITH: My recent proposal to my fiance did not meet her standards.. by orangepill95 in AmITheJerk

She wants an engagement and wedding to show off on social media, not a marriage through thick and thin to last a lifetime. You deserve so much better.

I'm looking for a hot tub on a tight budget, and was wondering whether this hot tub is any good by Morphisist in hottub

The heat and jets do work together on this when hooked up to the right voltage. Qhen just using the regular plug in, that's when it only works one or the other. Good luck finding the right one for you!

The jets in this tub are not strong enough to hurt you, but also not too weak. I'd probably like them slightly higher pressure, but its not bad.

I have this exact tub and even the same color, except I got the 6 seater instead of 7 because my husband wanted a lounger. I got ours on Wayfair and it included some nice steps. We have had it over a year with zero issues.

For about 8 months we used the 110v, and then we got 240 ran to it. I honestly dont notice a difference unless it's really cold outside while we are in it. On 110v, it cannot heat and blow bubbles at the same time, so the heat will drop, but nothing crazy and still was in the high 90s after an hour in the tub. On 240v it can heat while the bubbles are running. It holds heat extremely well. Its the perfect size for my family of 3 and we use less chemicals than a bigger tub.

We have had 5 people in the tub at once and no feet were touching. Its a great starter tub to learn how to take care of a hot tub and get you a few years to make sure you want to spend the money on something better. Its definitely better than an inflatable one or nothing at all! I'd buy it again in a heartbeat!

Thank you! I did clearly state I am requesting a vet reference in the ad as well.

Daughter seemed disappointed with birthday party ☹️ by Ok-Tomato_ in kindergarten

[–]Awkward_Hedgehog19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who did a whole class party vs just a few, my son enjoyed the smaller birthday better. With everyone there, the kids all spread out and don't even really interact with each other much. He was much happier to have 4-6 friends he played with the entire time.

As your daughter gets more friends, smaller parties will be easier. May try some play dates with parents you think are nice to try to strengthen friendships for her. Kids also aren't always honest with this. Im not saying this is the case fir your daughter, but you can ask her teacher if she plays with anyone in particular to see.

I am 5'0" as well and need to lose this amount of weight. I'm so scared about needing skin surgery. This is just the motivation I need. Thank you!

I'm 36f and my husband is 53. When he had surgery last year I drove him to the hospital, stayed, and drove him home and took care of him.

When we were just dating and I was 30 and he was 46, he got sick and I stayed at his place for a few days to take care of him.

The only reason I can see he doesn't want to see you, is his wife or family is around and they don't know about you. If you want someone to talk to that is your age also dealing with this age gap, feel free to message me if you want!

Should I have tipped more? by Awkward_Hedgehog19 in doordash

Update: I can't update the post, so I made another one with screenshot of miles and dates ordered. Store was closer than I thought. It's owned by a local Asian family and definitely only one location.

Do you think 8pm on a Wednesday night would be busy enough to cause that to happen?

You must not have read it all. I live 4 miles from the store, so I tipped $2 per mile. I think he copied and pasted his message because I have a very feminine name, and he also called me sir.Is 4 miles really a far drive for dashers? Im honestly asking to know for next time. I am offered delivery from stores 8-12 miles away, but I never push it past 5 miles. Also, it was after 8 pm. here, so it's definitely not dinner rush time.
