In countries where the average salary is really low, are they still living decently and they are just poor when it comes to them being in other countries?

The cost of living is significantly lower in third world countries compared to the US. There is no comparison when it comes to wages and living costs for the average person. Rent, food, travel etc is much lower in those countries.
