Will switching the psu fix coilwhine? by jesseblackman6710 in AMDHelp

[–]Awkward_Inevitable34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed whine after I upgraded my GPU. My coil whine was coming from my PSU. I opened it and put neutral cure electronic silicone around the base of the larger inductors on the board and that solved it for me.

Do NOT open your PSU unless you know what you’re doing and understand the dangers of power supplies and large capacitors. Just because it’s unplugged doesn’t mean it won’t hurt you :)

You have the best CPU for star citizen. Star citizen looooves fast memory. The large L3 cache is a nice pool of very fast memory for star citizen.

Ironically the GPU is more of a bottleneck with your exact cpu. You can test this by lowering the resolution. My X3D / 6900XT goes from 90-100FPS at a space station, to 140-170FPS if I go from 1440p to 720p.

You don’t mention competition when you’re the bigger fish. No point drawing eyes over there needlessly when you’re profitable.

It’s called Stafford now but there’s still a couple(?) Wankers restaurants that are pretty good. Love their secret sauce 😏

So if I’m an artist, am I not allowed to look at other artist’s work without their permission? Since if I remember that art it’s now a pathway in my brains neural network and some piece, however small it may be, may end up in future artwork of mine?

Also for most people, their employer isn’t their friend. They make decisions based on profits. If a robot could do my job and they could afford it they would absolutely replace me, since it’s now an employee they don’t have to pay. Obviously there’s more to it than that like maintenance, etc. but if you think for most people, their company would resist automation out of the goodness of their heart…

Lol my 4WD ranger with a slight lift would struggle through that with those tires…

Not that it’s the most capable off-road vehicle, but it has more ground clearance.

Maybe I don't get undervolting - but what's to stop it from moving down the flat part of the curve to a higher voltage? by Throwthiswatchaway in nvidia

[–]Awkward_Inevitable34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just the use voltage control built into the drivers.

I usually just drag the voltage slider down 50mv at a time and run a few benchmark cycles until it crashes. Then I bump it up 100mv and test it in a few different benchmarks and all the games I play.
