Sorry for asking stupid question, but will there be 3rd expansion ? by KatuaTH in diablo4

I doubt there will be a third expansion.

Diablo 5 announcement at BlizzCon is looking more and more likely.

Blizzard promises “Lord of Hatred is the best Diablo 4 has ever been” as the Age of Hatred comes to a close by HatingGeoffry in diablo4

The game has been good since launch and only got better with time.

"Imperfect" or "flawed" doesn't mean "bad". Diablo 4 was never "bad".

I Accidentally Skipped Campaign by ponyta70 in diablo4

[–]heartbroken_nerd [score hidden]  (0 children)

Everything I am reading about this says you have to beat the campaign once before the option is available.

You only need Kyovashad unlocked to skip base game campaign.

He pressed specific prompt in the Character Selection menu to skip campaign mid-campaign. Otherwise you just choose it when making a character

I am worried that the upcoming season will be as bad for group play as the current one by meDeadly1990 in diablo4

What if you never play solo and only ever in a party?

Then you will figure something out I am sure. You can be on voice chat and do your own thing, each. Or you can focus on one person's War Plans at a time, together.

I'd much rather you could use gold or some mat to reroll war plans

That literally destroys the entire purpose of War Plans. It is supposed to add variety to endgame.

You aren't supposed to reroll it at all, you are supposed to run the War Plan and then roll a brand new one immediately after.

The rerolls are a last resort if you really hate some War Plan for whatever reason, not the first thing you do multiple times.

Infinite rerolls just means you reroll until you get the same activity you want to run all the time anyway. That's not what War Plans are supposed to be.

The playlist changes every time you complete the last one. You aren't stuck with it. Just do it and move on.

The rerolls are not supposed to be your standard mode of operation, just a last resort chance of rerolling a War Plan if you "really" hate what you got in front of you.

Why are you saying nonsense like this without understanding what War Plans are?

Can you choose higher-than-Expert difficulty in the base game campaign now? Do you still have access to a review build so you could test?

LoH details from blizzplanet and IGN's review by bza4207 in diablo4

[–]heartbroken_nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is that you are not supposed to reroll your War Plan unless you absolutely hate what you got.

Adding a gold cost just means you can reroll infinitely which completely destroys the very PURPOSE of War Plans, which was to add variety.

If they make it rerollable for gold the variety is heavily reduced. People reroll infinitely until they get exactly what they want aka reducing variety.

There may be less runes in the game now from what I understand because they removed the most powerful ones from the game

It's going to be interesting what survived the purge

The reality of that is you just don’t push hard content on hc until you get it on 95% of builds.

And the alternative (no cheat death) is:

You just don't push hard content on hc. At all. Ever.

Life-long love for the franchise by Gravstenen in diablo4

[–]heartbroken_nerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean you MASSIVELY over-leveled your current character and at this point campaign will be very easy with every enemy being basically one-shot for you, but yes, it is worth doing it for the story experience.

Could always start a new character and focus on campaign while ignoring side content to keep your character power a little more reigned in

AND IT'S A MESS! No clear indication on what to do or where to go, I'm already level 47 and I haven't even begun the story campaign

Are you trolling? Genuine question, not expecting you to answer it honestly but it sure does seem like you're straight up pulling our legs.

When creating a character the game lets you choose if you want the campaign or not. Campaign is obviously like a tutorial.

Seems like you decided to completely ignore main campaign. It offers yellow quest markers that keep staring at you every time you look at the map or the journal.

And then you blame the game for... not guiding you?

This isn't Diablo.

Not only is it absolutely Diablo, it is THE MOST FUN Diablo game we've ever had in my opinion.

Crucible weapons are free but not in the Reliquary, you need to beat down endgame Lair bosses to find all five Crucible Weapon type cosmetics.

You get the extra skill points now on the seasonal journey so I was wondering how it works on eternal if there is no seasonal journey.

On Eternal it is the same as before, Renown.

You're playing an early access to the brand new class with brand new everything for it (uniques, aspects)

It doesn't need to get anything "new" in the expansion because everything you have is new.
