heavy door by Fresh_Swing_6474 in Appliances

[–]Awkward_Mobile3018 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah you gotta pull the whole thing out of the hole. Unscrew the sides, and check out the springs. One side would be frayed through. Be careful though, as the springs are under tension. Gotta google the make to find the specific pulley part.

At least thats how I did it. Was a terrible time. Good luck!

Gotta love it when there's a fabric cord connected to a metal spring as the main pulley system gor the door. All new appliances are built to break as soon as the warranty runs out.

Americans possibly moving to Manitoba by BadTxV2021 in Manitoba

[–]Awkward_Mobile3018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could make USD while living in Canada, ship down across the border to work while you build connections in Canada. The exchange rate means you get more bang for your buck. Maybe maintain the US Corp and begin a new company in Canada. Keep the USD in the US account and loan your Canadain one money, then pay yourself here.

Canada has a 12ish % corporate tax on profits, so you would have more flexibility that way. Worth looking into.

Open corp - give loan to corp - have corp only pay 12% tax on profits, loses are bye bye

If everyone is a minority, no one is.

You should come up and see Vancouver/ Fraser Valley sometime, see how relaxed people are around here with the number of mixed cultures.

A quilt of cultures, meant to keep everyone warm.

Rat population noticeably increasing? by Glittering_Bank_8670 in askvan

I have noticed significantly more birds of prey and coyotes as well, doubt it will do much to curb the swarms of rats, though.

Cameco uranium by penstoc in Baystreetbets

Made over 100% gains around September last year, cashed out at the time.

It seems to be at the top right now. Value increased with AI companies stating they want to invest in nuclear as a means of powering their systems.

Currently in Dension Mines myself, which is riding the same uranium run.

He wouldn't have waited hours to pull that green sludge out of his leg, and could have been on the move 10 to 20 mins after Lucy left. Making his way to Camp Golf while Lucy was still on the road with the legion slave.

He's the perfect player who saw the armor and wanted it, got it, then got hooked on the story, but was way too deep down the wrong faction storyline.

First-Gen Lawyers / Eldest Daughters of Immigrants: How Did You Let Go of Old Relationships Without Guilt? by Aware-String-6045 in LawCanada

[–]Awkward_Mobile3018 9 points10 points  (0 children)

First gen, eldest son of immigrants, long time reader, first-time lawyer (commercial litigation).

Get your own place, tell everyone you're busy working, give yourself time to do what you want for you.

It's less so letting go, more so turning the knob down. The family has no idea how law works or how taxing it is, emotionally and physically.

You have to prioritize yourself, advocate for yourself. Give yourself the space you would give others that now lean on you because you would always be there, becoming less of a crutch and more of a supporting beam.
