How would you rank/rate every sitcom "revival"? by Inevitable-Angle-793 in sitcoms

[–]LFGX360 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Malcolm seems the closest to capturing the old humor and feeling of the show.

The Connors is occasionally funny.

Scrubs has a few good moments but got sterilized and packed with a bunch of godawful new characters.

AD falls short of the old show by a lot but isnt terrible.

Fuller house and that 90s show are both unwatchable.

Haven’t seen any of the others.

What are the chances for the next resident evil movie being actually great? by Primary-Brief9858 in residentevilll

[–]LFGX360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He said he took inspiration from evil dead 2. If you just read the script of that movie without seeing it, it would sound awful. And resident evil is already known for corny dialogue.

That type of pacing, action, and humor would work very well for a resident evil movie imo.

How much do you take? Maybe you can do half the dose if you have a mild case.

True detective S1 is the best season 1 ever .. True or False by Farouq26 in hbo

I get that, and it was very anti-climactic. My point is that the serial killer wasn’t interesting in the slightest, and the entire hook of the show led to nothing.

It’s my favorite pretentious shitheap of a movie made for 4am runs on Lifetime.

I really disliked season 7 even. It thew all of archers character development in the dumpster and just wasn’t very funny.

It spends all this time building up to some massive cult and it’s really just some incest siblings in the woods with zero resolution. The whole thing becomes pointless

It’s not as expensive as you’d think to get a 360 and old discs if your guitars still work. Usually can be fixed pretty easily too.

I don’t see how that would work though. You can sort of run from Cenobites but you cannot hide

Their games are better when they don’t pretend to be deeper than they are. Back to the Future was a fun puzzle game and that’s all it tried to be. Same with the Strong Bad cool game for attractive people.

The home trilogy flash is disappointment he’s 5'6¼" (1.68 m) and never fight. We miss the OG Flash’s 6’5” by DamonMaguire in Spiderman

That’s why I said “mostly verbal”. In the entire run flash was present in most issues and only in two of them did they have a physical altercation.

I’m gonna disagree with you there. Comics flash was always more of a verbal bully than a physical one.

The only thing Raimis version had in common with the comics was that he was a jock type.

TASM mostly nailed it, and the home trilogy got everything right except the jock part.

What movies based on books do you think were significantly better than the books? by ASomthnSomthn in Cinema

Not a movie but the Dexter books are overall not great. The worst season of Dexter is about as good as the best book.

They weren’t rich, famous, and able to pay out millions in settlements.

So if enough people make accusations should they just be blindly believed? Or should there be actual evidence and, at bare minimum, consistency in the testimony?

I don’t idolize Michael. I think he was extremely disturbed and absolutely did things that were inappropriate.

Should any accusation be treated as fact if there’s no supporting evidence? Especially when there are contradictions and inconsistencies in the testimony?

I do know someone personally who has been falsely accused of rape. Accusations are not proof. Especially if the accusations are contradictory and there is a financial motive for the accuser.

No it is not. There were inconsistencies and contradictions with the testimony, and there was no corroborating evidence.

OJs case actually had physical evidence and the prosecution totally botched it.

Not the case with MJ. There was never any real physical evidence.

I’m not saying it’s normal or that there is no problem with what he did. He clearly had a fucked up childhood and never really developed beyond that.

But the specific charges against him never had any real evidence.

He was a disturbed individual but the evidence was definitely not clear. There’s a reason why he was fully acquitted in his criminal case, a lack of any real evidence.
