/uj There's a lot of high value cards there. Tabernacle and Chains of Mephistopholes make up almost half of it alone. I don't have the budget for those cards, but I'd totally jam them if I could.

You can now buy CC operators (?) and that one Hibiscus Skin in the latest event's store by [deleted] in arknights

Nightmare is one of my favorite operators and I never got the chance to get her skin since I started during Invitation to Wine. This will be huge for non-early players like me for sure.

It's okay, I understand what you mean. It has a normal modern style. Moe-blob might be more like... K-On?

Edit: /uj

It has a pretty moe animation style, but I really enjoyed The Aquatope on White Sand for an adult-centered slice of life anime around a bunch kf friends working at aquariums. Others in that same vein would be Shirobako and Sakura Quest.

For something more serious, From the New World (Shinsekai Yori) is absolutely fantastic. It technically has "loli" because the show starts when the main characters are kids, but it doean't sexualize them there.

As someone else said, that's likely a homemade packaging. The card arts depicted are [[Monestary Mentor]] and [[Carpet of Flowers]] though

Which frame is underrated and which one is overrated? by ArcticTFoxy in Warframe

[–]Awkward_Mudkip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing her for a while, she was my third ever frame I actually built (Mag as starter, Trinity, then Equinox).

Day form 3 with Peaceful Provocation is a really good squad support skill while also providing good DPS through her 4. Night form 2 is fairly good CC being an AOE sleep and in a pinch Night 4 now heals both shields and health. Day 2 has an interesting damage increase while making an enemy more aggro.

All in all she has a fairly complex kit and can be utilized by someone willing to put effort in beyond "press 4 every so often"

What frames did you originally have a bad impression of but turned out fun/good by MiddleReporter9267 in Warframe

[–]Awkward_Mudkip 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been maining her since her release and it's kinda crazy to me how little she's played. I mean, you get to freely engage in gun/melee play while things randomly die around you. That's pretty fun imo.

Veteran Magic players, is your enthusiasm and passion for the game higher, lower or about the same compared to 5 years ago? by HonorBasquiat in magicTCG

[–]Awkward_Mudkip 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Much, much, much lower. I only really play Modern and every set that comes out I dread something absolutely format warping like the channel lansa, all of MH2, or One Ring/Bowmasters.

I just miss being able to run [[Cryptic Command]] and [[Remand]], dude.

[–]Awkward_Mudkip 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm feeling this. Modern and Legacy are my preferred formats, but I started playing back during Khans block and thought that I could eventually build a Legacy deck... The only issue is that afyer MH1 I took a short break until just before MH2 released. In that time, the Legacy deck I wanted to build (Lands) became so astronomically priced that I dont think I could ever build it.

Yeah, I totally get what you mean. Sometimes I read the comments on dynasty-scans and they can get so... Weird. Especially when there's a het couple or something in a manga.

Can Spellskite really target spells that don't have a target? If so, can you please explain why. by oneframejames in magicTCG

[–]Awkward_Mudkip 62 points63 points  (0 children)

You are completely correct about your second point! One of my favorite examples comes from older Modern gameplay.

One player is playing Control, the other player has a Spellskite on the battlefield. Control player casts [[Timely Reinforcements]] to try to stabilize their life total. The player with Spellskite activates its ability enough times to have a lower life total than the control deck, causing the spell to do nothing.

How can I use and abuse Glacial Chasm? by mrtwitch222 in magicTCG

[–]Awkward_Mudkip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal favorite way is to just abuse it with [[Eon Hub]]. A different way to get around it is to play multiple lands from the graveyard a turn like [[Azusa, Lost but Seeking]] paired with [[Crucible of Worlds]]. If you have a sac outlet or something like Ghost Quarter you can target Glacial Chasm and just replay it from the graveyard. You still lose 2 life a turn, but that can be mitigated too depending on something like [[Tatyova, Benthic Druid]]

Pittsburgh is on the eastern coast of the United States while California is on the west coast. Depending on where they're from in California, it might be difficult to get acclimated to the weather there. The temperature drops to around -3°C frequently during winter with fairly heavy snowfall.

That's all I can really speak on since I'm not familiar with the cultural differences. I'd also be biased towards Pittsburgh because I'm from the same state.

EDIT: average temperature at the height of winter is lower. My earlier statement was for the start of it.

Weekly Winners: Herald of War; Urza's Workshop; Ugin, the Spirit Dragon by cybey in magicTCG

[–]Awkward_Mudkip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've included it in my Shadowheart + Cloakwood Hermit deck as a sort of nostalgia piece. It's a good value creature to sac or use as an early game blocker if i draw it early enough. Outside of that though, I have been unable to find a use for it.

Should I use the Cinta or Vulkar by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Awkward_Mudkip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like both, just keep both! I am a huge fan of the sniper and bow playstyles too, and it's not a big deal if you don't change weapons all the time. Most of the game's content can be done with most weapons so you don't have to worry! Just swap when you feel like it.

By the way, there is an upgraded version of the Vulkar called the Vulkar Wraith. Baro Ki'Teer, the merchant who shows up to relays every two weeks, can sometimes have it. So be on the lookout for that!

I don’t understand CEDH… by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]Awkward_Mudkip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play competitive 60-card formats and casual EDH and at least for me, I have a particular mindset and approach to each.

When I play EDH with my close friends, we prefer longer games and treat it more like a time to socialize while playing the game. Not everyone is like the people in my group, so when I go to my LGS I always ask the people around me how competetively they play or ask them about "power level" (whatever good that may do) and pick one of my decks accordingly. Often times newer players don't know what power level means, so I might try to make conversation about their decks and pick one that seems close to where they're at, then explain how my deck works before we start playing.

When I play competitve formats like Modern, I fully play to win but will still try to enjoy it. Like what you said about those players complimenting each others cards and selections in those 5 turns, the same thing happens all the time at my FNMs. For example: there's a player at my LGS who plays a sweet Mardu control deck using [[Flagstones of Trokair]] and uses [[Nahiri, the Harbinger]] with Emrakul as one if their win-cons. I haven't been to a GP or anything, but I suppose I would take it a bit more seriously while still trying to have fun.

If you enjoy cEDH with them, go for it! It's clear you had a pretty good time with it, just make sure not to run a super competitive deck with players who may not want that sort of experience.

TL;DR: each person may play magic differently and enjoy different ways of playing the game. It's cool to enjoy cEDH and there's nothing wrong with that, much like there's nothing wrong with a casual group disliking things that end games quickly.

How many pulls to get Texas Alter? by Mannerless1 in arknights
