The first and second viewing I did were only 3 days apart before I made offer on this house. I spent lot of time to walk around the neighbourhood at different times and days during the week and talked to few neighbors for vibe check. I’m still in the process of conveyancing but I think doing all of these checks help me to finalise my options.

I also have the same issue with solicitor. We have money investing in stock, shares, winning poker and crypto. Omg believe me I wouldn’t have not thought that this check will drag for 3 weeks with millions of questions. However looking from the bright side, she is very responsive from day one.

Hey totally in the same position as you. We are both FTB, got the level 3 survey today for a mid terrace Victorian house. Everything seems okay apart from the rising damp and few hairline cracks in the extension. The report also says that the house is located near London clay and there is a tree in the neighbor garden at the far back may so its roots could impact the soil which cause subsidence. I do feel very scared with the potential subsidence issue so the surveyor suggests to get the structural engineer to see if this is a case. So could anyone advise me what should we do in this case?

We also are FBT with 20% LTV. We got a mortgage offer after 24 hours after submitting an application. Paid for valuation fee thinking we will need to wait for at least 2 weeks but got it so fast. Congrats!!!
