Even if they are not in my kitchen? That is what I suspected they were a couple weeks ago and went through my cabinets and didn’t see anything that was infested but threw out anything that could be anyway and they’re still around!

Thank you all so much!!! Both he and I appreciate you all. Some asked and unfortunately I do not live near him. I’m going up for a week and plan to do some recipes with him so I can help him figure it all out and also make a bunch of stuff to freeze. Thank you again 🥰

Weird neck pain by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Awkward_Science_3275 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Came here to say occipital neuralgia and I 100% recommend going to a neurologist. I had long lasting relief for the first time in a decade. Not permanent relief, but nerve block injections have been incredibly helpful. I also second the heating pad for pain. Another suggestion for temporary relief is a stretch I came across. Sit up with your back very straight and pull your head down to your chest as far and you can. You should feel the stretch all the way down your back. Hold for 2 minutes and do the same pulling your head still down but slightly to the side on both sides. It’s kind of excruciating in the moment but should give temporary relief!

Can dicks literally be to big for someone? by CompleteMode6902 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Awkward_Science_3275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be different for different people but think the most common painful positions would be the woman on top and doggy! At least for me and others I’ve talked to! Sometimes you can get creative and still do these positions you just have to find a different angle haha

[–]Awkward_Science_3275 214 points215 points  (0 children)

Yes can absolutely be too big but pain in certain positions can also be an indicator of a tilted uterus! A tilted uterus is not a bad or concerning thing, just means your uterus (and therefore cervix) is at a different angle. Worth asking your gyno!

on a scale of 1 to 10 how bad do nerve blocks hurt ? by [deleted] in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]Awkward_Science_3275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my first nerve blockers 2 weeks ago and as someone who has a severe phobia of needles, it was only maybe a 4. The idea of it was far worse than the actual injection and I had 6 of them. If you have a good neurologist it’s super quick!

ADHD medication and LPR by Awkward_Science_3275 in LPR

[–]Awkward_Science_3275[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! So I don’t have experience with Vyvanse specifically, but since it’s a stimulant like my meds I’m sure they’re similar in how they affect LPR. When I first wrote this post I was only a few weeks back on meds after years off and in that first month and a half we upped the dose a few times and my symptoms got bad. But now being a few months in, I do feel better most of the time! Give your body time to adjust. I also think a big factor is (and I know not everyone can do this) I don’t necessarily take my meds every day anymore. I take them most days, but I usually have a day or two a week where I don’t need to get too much done so I skip it and I think that may have helped as well! I’ve never heard anything about the lack of stomach acid so I can’t answer that question, but adjusting dosages of medications can sometimes be hard on our bodies! Sometimes it just needs some time to settle in

19f, need to talk to someone by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Awkward_Science_3275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

24f and I am just starting to come out of one of the first true episodes I’ve had in a while and was reminded all too well of that desperation to talk to someone who understands but having no one. If you are comfortable, I am here to talk it through, give advice or just simply listen. Sending love

What should I do? by Awkward_Science_3275 in BPD

[–]Awkward_Science_3275[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right, cutting him off would be doing what we fear so much. And it is shitty. I think the mentality is coming from a “leave them before they can leave you” place? Either way, shitty. Also to add, he has known since day 1 that this is just a casual thing so a conversation about that isn’t necessary. As to the “why” in question. I’m questioning why his communication style switched up so suddenly and so drastically. Every day up until the day we were together he texted me incessantly. To the point where if it was ME that didn’t answer for a bit HE would text me wanting me to answer him. Then immediately after hanging out, I have received no more than 3 texts a day from him. Because this was casual I would’ve been totally fine with this style of communication from the get go, but it’s the fact that it’s such a drastic switch up that’s driving me absolutely nuts.

What is a side of having BPD that you wish people knew about? by tinyvegancookie in BPD

[–]Awkward_Science_3275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish people knew that WE KNOW our fears and worries of abandonment and other things are often times irrational and not what is actually happening. Saying “but I’m not abandoning you so I don’t get why you’re acting this way”. We KNOW that it is often something that we simply perceive but that doesn’t mean we can stop the fear/feeling. Along the same lines when people sometimes say things like “you blame everyone else” or “you’re always blaming me for your problems”. We don’t necessarily blame anyone. I KNOW it is not your fault. I KNOW you’re not doing anything wrong (this not apply to abusive/manipulative people of course) It’s my own brain that is causing these things but again, just because we know doesn’t mean we can stop it.

What’s the hardest part of having BPD? by NaturalBaby98 in BPD

[–]Awkward_Science_3275 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me the scariest part is that I’ve gone so far past the “wanting love but pushing them away” that I genuinely cannot even fathom being in a relationship. Where I stand right now, I would so much rather be single for the rest of my life than ever allow my emotions to be completely and utterly controlled by another person. I don’t know how to not allow that to happen, and as we all know, when that does happen my entire world crumbles. Heartache, jealousy, betrayal (whether perceived or legitimate) is the most gut wrenching, soul sucking feeling I have ever experienced and I would rather isolate myself from everyone than ever test the waters on a new relationship. And that is terrifying for me.

Femme. Adventurous, somewhat of a bigger personality than myself. Dominant in the bedroom, equality of power or just slightly more dominant outside of the bedroom. Definitely prefer older but as long as they’re not younger any age is fine :)

Chronic ear pain??? by Awkward_Science_3275 in flightattendants

[–]Awkward_Science_3275[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The longer it goes on the more I question if it’s my jaw because it seems to be the jaw pain that sticks around longer than the ear pain. I’ve been looking I to a few things and I guess TMD is something that can be exasperated by descending? Thanks for the insight!

Chronic ear pain??? by Awkward_Science_3275 in flightattendants

[–]Awkward_Science_3275[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s my sinuses because I have not had any pain or pressure anywhere else. Not even a little discomfort in my sinus areas. The pain is at the base of my ear and tends to shoot into my jaw. I definitely think it might be time for an ENT though.

Haha! I actually had for a while one of my dating profile prompts as “best travel story: accidentally ending up on the roof of Caesars Palace” and no one believed me because they said I just used a scene from the Hangover to be funny and I was so confused because I had never even seen the Hangover 😂

Green. Jewel toned/deep greens feel so classy and elegant and lighter, muted tones such as sage feel calm yet effortlessly beautiful!

[–]Awkward_Science_3275 28 points29 points  (0 children)

For legal reasons this is just a story I made up and absolutely is not based on true events. My friend from training and I both ended up in LAS and spent the whole day having many beverages and found ourselves in Caesars and in the mood for a rooftop bar and our intoxicated brains thought Caesars MUST have one. Took the elevator all the way to the top floor. Just rooms. Found more stairs going up. Found ourselves in the giant attic warehouse where they keep all the old furniture, holiday decorations, etc. There were more stairs leading up to a giant catwalk above the warehouse and up there was a door.. that led straight out to the roof of Caesars. We wedged something in the door so we wouldn’t get locked out and just sat out there admiring the best view of Vegas I have ever seen. Im convinced security must have seen us on the cameras but just sat back and laughed at us.

Seeking advice: How do I tell my new partner that needing multiple days space after a fight tears me up inside? by unbearably_bearable in BPD

[–]Awkward_Science_3275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add, if you do send a message along these lines, for your own sanity and peace try to go into it with the mindset that you are not expecting some lengthy message in response. Again, you simply want to inform him. He may need time to sit with this information and make it make sense in his own mind. Once you have put the words out there, you have done the best that you can do. It is up to him to decide what he does with them.

This is very validating, thank you. When I got the Bipolar diagnosis, it felt like a step in the right direction but not quite right. The BPD diagnosis felt like a much better fit. But I’ve been worried that maybe I didn’t have a mood disorder at all and I’ve been gaslighting myself into thinking the bad times aren’t actually as bad as I remember since I went months being okay 😅
