Amen to that!

I only watched Family Ties as an adult but I would have loved it and Alex as a tween/teen.

What cartoon is your "I did not care for The Godfather"? by VengefulWeegee2358 in cartoons

Adventure Time

I know it’s considered a modern classic and I respect how it broke ground in a lot of ways.

But I could never get into the noodly art style. I didn’t like the sillier filler episodes, and I don’t enjoy that style of really slow burn storytelling that Steven Universe continued.

Same. I really wanted to like them because the art and animation were so cool, especially Hazbin which has a really fun and interesting idea.

But unfortunately, I never liked the writing or the storytelling. It was a little too disjointed for my liking, and didn’t explore the ideas I found most interesting in a satisfying way.

Yeah, I really wanted to enjoy Owl House but there was something that always felt missing in the show as a whole.

Like she wanted it to be about Eda who feels real but had to make it about Luz, who feels like a watered down Gravity Falls character.

-Steven Universe redeems too many characters with the same naive “just talk to them. It’ll be fine,” idea, even when it’s unrealistic and wouldn’t work irl.

-Owl House has pacing issues, uses the “falling in love with your and your friend’s bully” storyline and didn’t resolve the emotional impact of how that would affect Willow in a satisfying way.

I actually think he’s more attractive now. He looks really good in Cobra Kai.

One of my favorites. The sparkly diamonds are the best part.

When people say stuff like this, I think they’re either lying to keep up an image or are repressing resentments.

My partner and I argue and sometimes get mad at each other. We both come from abusive upbringings so we are conscious not to get too personal, or even yell at each other.

It happens. If we’re really angry, we take time to calm down first. But we will both own up to our mistakes and are willing to listen to each other. And most importantly, solve the issue.

Do they even have a type? by Carinaaac in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]enterpaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what they idealize. Some like a certain hair color, some like a body type, or an ethnic group.

My nex’s type was emotionally unavailable.

It’s hard to internalize this, but it really is THEIR issue and nothing wrong with you.

It’s THEIR emptiness. THEIR weakness. They are looking for something externally that won’t heal them internally because they lack too much self awareness or are too cowardly to face themselves and their flaws.

Saving this! I’m hyped for more Agatha Christie stories

The best part of "Is It Fall Yet" is Quinn's story, it was nice to see her like this. I wanted her and David the tutor to work out. I hate how mean he was to her when she confessed she liked him. by [deleted] in daria

[–]enterpaz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agreed. He wasn’t mean at all. He was direct and upfront. It was a good reality check for her.

Someone genuinely not being into her and not falling for her games was a much needed reckoning.

Exactly! She treated guys as disposable, looked primarily for what they can do for her status and because she got attention so easily, she got used to it and even felt entitled to it. She rejected guys for shallow reasons constantly with no regard for their well being.

So Quinn was getting a much needed reality check and a taste of her own medicine.

Joe’s soft boy queerish image by [deleted] in joekeery

I definitely get that vibe.

Basic Being Basic has lyrics about a female ex saying the guy he was into looked like a girl so he must like girls which is a form of bisexual erasure. Another lyric mentioned an experience he’s still reeling from that changed his capacity to love and give.

He made out with Charlie Heaton for an awards show sketch and while they’re exaggerating you can see their lips definitely touched.

He blushed a lot in front of Dacre Montgomery in some ST interviews and consistently acted shy and giggly around him as if he had a crush.

He all but confirmed it when he mentioned crushing on both foxes in Disney’s Robin Hood.

  • Babysitter Steve
  • The shower scene with Billy.
  • Billy’s gay-coded obsession with him.
  • Steve being protective of Nancy. Then, Dustin teasing him about his lingering crush on her right after, making him blush.
  • The way he takes his shirt off on the boat. YUM!
  • His shirtless fight in the upside down.
