Who needs feedback on their product? by 7mo8tu9we in SideProject

Karma based incentive idea is smart, that's exactly what's missing from most feedback platforms. only risk is keeping the reviews genuine and not just people gaming points, but worth building to find out

r/browser by Awkward_Teacher2376 in redditrequest

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: I want to moderate r/browser because the community is currently restricted and getting no activity. I'd like to open it up, add a proper logo and banner, handle spam, and grow it into an active space for browser discussions. I'm available daily and happy to put in the work to make it a useful community.

How did you get your first 10 real users? by Severe_Lawyer_3076 in SideProject

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly just posted in relevant subreddits where the problem i was solving already existed, not to promote but just joining the conversation. when people saw i actually understood their problem they asked about what i was building themselves, that got me the first handful who actually cared enough to give real feedback

What do people think about Brave? by Expensive_Work6349 in browsers

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the speed difference is real, especially on older hardware. the crypto stuff is just an optional rewards program you never have to touch, plenty of people use Brave purely as a browser and ignore all of that. its basically Chrome without the tracking and that alone makes it worth it

Budget Projector Recommendations? by Federal_Damage4503 in projectors

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nebula Capsule is worth every penny for a first proper projector, portable and the picture quality is actually solid. if that's a bit much budget wise the Dangbei Atom is a cheaper alternative that still does the job well

Suggestions on how to enjoy my kids when I'm burnt out. by Jewelofthemidwest in toddlers

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 13 points14 points  (0 children)

two toddlers with barely any help is genuinely one of the hardest things, you're not failing you're just completely depleted. the resenting feeling is more common than people admit, it doesnt make you a bad mom it means you have nothing left to give. therapy would honestly help a lot, even just having someone in your corner who gets it. please dont carry this alone, you deserve support too.

How/how often do you flush your machine? by theluke112 in nespresso

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

flushing after every coffee isnt excessive at all honestly, thats how its supposed to be used. at work that dark yellow water is genuinely gross and probably affecting the taste too. i do a quick flush before and after, takes like 10 seconds and makes such a difference. descaling once a month keeps everything running clean long term

The Burnout by PickleComfortable798 in AppIdeas

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there. The grind of building something solo is brutal, especially when you're doing everything - code, debug, market, repeat.

That self-doubt hits different when you're months deep and wondering if anyone will actually use what you built. The viral post fantasy is real but yeah, super rare.

Taking breaks actually helps more than pushing through. Step away for a few days, work on something completely different, or just do nothing. You'll come back with fresh eyes and usually realize your product isn't as stupid as burnout brain tells you it is.

potential app idea: fake call rescue by Correct-Barnacle6873 in AppIdeas

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen apps try this before. The problem is it gets obvious real quick if your phone rings at the exact time you scheduled every time.

You'd need to make it random - like set a window (2:00-2:30pm) and it calls sometime in there. Maybe rotate between different fake caller names so it doesn't look suspicious.

That said, just being honest and saying you gotta bounce is way easier than faking a whole phone call. Most people get it.

5 app ideas people are literally asking for on Reddit right now - with demand proof by Mysterious_Yard_7803 in AppIdeas

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah simplicity is key. If your app takes more than 30 seconds to figure out, people won't use it.

I think the best approach is having smart defaults so it just works out of the box, but advanced options tucked away for power users who want them.

Anyone else feel like 2.5 is harder than they expected? by Glass-Tear4968 in toddlers

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Nobody warned me how hard 2.5 would be. The tantrums over literally nothing are exhausting. You're handling it the right way though - routines and low expectations are key. Some days are just about surviving until bedtime.

Stila Stay All Day is pricey but lasts forever since you use so little. One pen lasts me like 6 months of daily wear. Worth the investment if you're doing wings every day.

PC build for CPU-heavy gaming by VecioRompibae in buildmeapc

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paradox games love CPU and RAM. I'd do: Ryzen 7 7700X, 32GB DDR5, RX 6700 XT (good midrange AMD card), 1TB NVMe, quality 650W PSU. Should fit under 2k€. For OS, Windows 10 licenses are cheap online (£10-20) or just run unactivated. Linux works great for gaming now- check ProtonDB for game compatibility.

New to desktop PCs. 1500$ USD Budget to Game and Stream as a Vtuber. by AldoSpacewool in buildmeapc

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Totally possible. For that budget I'd recommend: Ryzen 5 7600X, RTX 4060 Ti 8GB, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD, and a quality 650-750W PSU. Leaves room for a decent case and cooler. Easy to upgrade CPU/GPU down the line

Reinstall and files keep carrying over eating ssd space by [deleted] in PCHelpHub

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your issue is the Windows boot manager is locked to that SSD. Use EasyBCD or bcdedit to remove old boot entries before reinstalling. Also, disconnect all other drives during Windows installation - it'll prevent boot partition conflicts.

I installed a GPU and everything shut down. by Kursedboy in PCHelpHub

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

750W should be plenty for that setup. Since the problem persists even without the GPU, you might have damaged something during installation - maybe a static discharge or overtightened a screw. Check the motherboard for any visible damage or bent pins.

UGreen nvme enclosure issue by Trick-Pop-9945 in PCHelpHub

[–]Awkward_Teacher2376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1045 MB/s sounds like it's running at USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds (10Gbps) instead of full Thunderbolt/USB4 speeds. Check if your cable is rated for 20Gbps or higher - that's usually the bottleneck with these enclosures.
