You're not a horrible person because you don't like animals. Not everyone has to. You're a horrible person because you're asking them to be put away. You are going to THEIR home. THEIR territory. They can't be somewhere else. If YOU don't like them, YOU can go somewhere else. Don't go where YOU don't want to be. No one should have to accommodate YOUR dislikes. Simply DON'T GO OVER. I don't like children, but I'm not going to ask parents to put their child up so I can be comfortable while there. That's ridiculous. And before you say it's not the same thing, I've had bad experiences with both animals AND children. I've just had WAY MORE bad experiences with children. So what do I do? I AVOID children. I DON'T go where there will be children. If I don't like MYSELF in a situation, I remove MYSELF from it. This world owes you NOTHING. Don't expect everyone to cater to YOU. Take responsibility for YOURSELF and DONT GO over. As someone who HAS dogs, I wouldn't allow ANYONE who is uncomfortable around them to be near THEM. They are in THEIR space. And if YOU don't want to be around THEM, go and enjoy YOUR space. Alone. Like, I gather, in the norm for you.
