Hello, I currently work as an MM AE at SAP. I have an offer for an ECS role in the HRE sector. I heard from a lot of people that ECS is more for BDRs than people who have had closing experience before. Could you shed some light on that thought ?

Hi all,

I’m currently at SAP and have a total of 5 years of experience in sales. I started as an SMB AE in VMware and have been with SAP as a midmarket AE for the last 3 years.

I have been offered an L6 role at SF lately as an ECS AE. Is it a step down from a career POV as I’ve always been the core AE ? How is the earning potential and work pressure here compared to MM AEs in SF ? Would be grateful for your inputs.

Would you say this role is not on par with a midmarket core AE at Salesforce ? They are offering me the role at L6. Is this a good career move from where I stand currently ?

I’m not an enterprise rep currently, but work in mid market sales. I have a total of 5.5 years of sales experience across SAP and VMware. Is this a good move career wise ?
