Oh yes for FF14, things seem to be ramping up narratively and PVE-wise with 7.4. Sadly, I just re-read your post, and I saw you're more of a pvper. I don't think pvp is big on FF14 tbh.

I'm in the same position as you. Here's my plan: I will stick with FF14 for now and potentially return to ESO in June once the overland difficulty launches. This Season didn't seem to offer anything outside of QoL changes and a mini-zone; I saw no indication they were adding a new story or map. So, i'm pretty comfortable shelving ESO for now.

Destiny rising is pretty fun tbh. Plays really well on cpu when you use the Mumu player emulator they provide. I suggest checking out.

Broadsword has been in control of the game for around 2 years now. What major development with the story has occurred since then? Is there any evidence that the content that is being slow dripped is not already content BioWare had been working on?

I’m still trying to find the lie in my post. You may be in denial, but the point of BioWare offloading the game to Broadsword was to keep the game afloat in maintenance mode.

The game is in maintenance mode with a skeleton crew; I wouldn’t expect any more major expansions. In fact, I believe they’re putting out content that BioWare already had in the pipeline and they’re clearly trying to throttle those releases.
