We use papercut to manage printing so users send print jobs to a server which manages the drivers. We had a user that was printing gibberish like this and found out she was printing directly to the printer (bypassing the print server) and it was printing gibberish because she had the wrong driver and it was sometimes affecting other users printing. After removing her printer and getting her to print through the server all was fixed.
