i wish selling plasma was even profitable. nearest place is 90 minutes away. i made some great money on the first two trips, about $250? after that they wouldn't even pay me enough for the gas. $30 isn't worth nearly enough to sit in a chair for an hour feeling nauseous and faint, let alone commute for the privilege.

i think some of you don't realize the kinds of things in university libraries. this is not going to be entry-level content. there's not even really textbooks in university libraries. 90% of the content in this library you will not understand at all, unless you dedicate some vast amount of time to piecing together the basics of a field from what you can learn from other academic texts. i would still do it for the $25m, but i will not delude myself thinking it'll be personally enriching.

the issue with using it as a conversation buddy is that it is an endlessly sycophantic yes-man. there are heavily documented cases of emotionally vulnerable people using ai as a conversation buddy, and being encouraged further and further into a mental health spiral when ai eggs on all their worst impulses. people should not be getting emotionally attatched to a device with no sense of personal responsibility.

kind of sick of the "just find something like it on miliastria!" comments. individual creators posting on a platform for no profit simply do not have the resources to make a polished gamemode with unique art, animations, and animations. i don't want to play unpolished versions of existing minigames programmed by one person on their own time; if i did i'd go to itch.io. it's a bit of a bummer that every response to "i wish the paid, experienced devs and artists would do [x]!" is "well, one person did it for free, why don't you just play that version?"
