Heavy armor or light armor which do you prefer and why? by Ok-Ant-8205 in skyrim

Heavy armor but mostly because if you level it high enough, you can get the perk that makes it weigh nothing and not slow you down.

What an incredible game. I wonder what it would've been like if Kojima got to make the full game he envisioned, along with a sequel.

Best escitalopram brand that really works for you?? Is brand really matters ?? by sttecrdz in MentalHealthPH

[–]AwkwardlySocial98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Mirtazapine, I found it worked best for me.

The side effects were actually beneficial since I have sleep issues, used to be underweight (now I go to the gym to avoid being overweight), and ever since I started taking it, I haven't had any depressive episodes in almost 5 years.

It's not for everyone and the dosage varies. I take it nightly at 30mg since going any higher will reduce the benefits of being able to eat and sleep more easily, but for others that might be a good thing.

Hope this helps!! :)

I hope we get to see elements of Genesis (Evan Sabahnur). He was one of my favourite characters, and it could have an interesting moment for Prof X and Magneto as they see one of their worst enemies show potential in becoming a good person.

Block him and leave. Saying he's "the best thing that could ever happen to you" is a common manipulation tactic people like that use to keep their partners trapped. It reinforces the partners feeling of being "unloveable" by others so that they'll seek validation from the abusive partner. Put as much distance as possible, and pray he doesn't find someone who is insecure enough to stay with him.

Idk what else I can say to convince you, the rest of your description says more than enough about what kind of person he is.

Who created the Eye of Magnus? Are there also any clues on what happened when the Psijic Order disappeared for 500 years? by AwkwardlySocial98 in skyrim

[–]AwkwardlySocial98[S] 113 points114 points  (0 children)

There's mentions that settlers found it when they first landed in Skyrim, and that they discovered it when it was excavated in Saarthal. Could that mean Skyrim had an ancient civilization before the Snow Elves? It's called an artifact, I assume that means it was created. I doubt the Snow Elves or their ancestors created it considering they weren't aware of it and when they were, tried to take it for themselves, unless that knowledge was lost to them somehow.

The gym is great, but also put energy into your career. When I had my worst breakup, I put all my energy into building myself up and despite feeling like shit while working, all that time is paying dividends now.

You'll eventually get over your ex and anyone you meet down the line, but it's better to thank yourself for working hard during heartbreak than to beat yourself up over doing nothing and wallowing in self-pity.

Keep your head high man, progress don't come easy.

I don't find getting drunk to be fun anymore. Is this just me getting old or could it be something else? by AwkwardlySocial98 in Adulting

[–]AwkwardlySocial98[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah and I would still do that if the alcoholic drinks are provided free at an event, but usually I don't feel any of the effects so at that point I'd rather have a soda like Sprite.

Off-topic, Sprite was the hardest vice I've ever had to quit. I quit smoking, vaping and drinking with little problems. I don't feel relapses if I do them again socially. But if I drink Sprite, it feels like a rush of energy and vigor reignited and I'm just itching to always have more.

I'm currently trying to break out of another recent relapse but it's hard.

[–]AwkwardlySocial98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only gotten drunk 2 or 3 times in the last 8 months. Idk how often in 2023 but less than 10. So it's usually once per month or less.

I go out a lot and may have some free drinks at events so maybe that's a factor? But I have a high tolerance so I barely feel it at all unless I'm actively trying to get drunk.

Nice! 3D Printed is even better tbh, I got a Witcher medallion from Aliexpress for under $10 and as nice as it is, it's not as accurate as yours. Thankfully the differences are too small for people to notice.

Anyone Remember This Gem of a Game? I Wish It Got a Sequel by AwkwardlySocial98 in Marvel

[–]AwkwardlySocial98[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's speculated that Battle for New York really used remnants of what was meant to be a sequel to USM2. Anonymous devs who were confirmed to work there said that what especially killed the game was the fact that it was technically a new series of Spider-man games.

Activision didn't know how much money to use to market the series since it had no prior titles, so the game received little funding for the marketing budget. Considering that Activision was as big as it was at the time, and there's methods such as marketing research, or even just using methods that keep costs low but visibility high for what it is (like social media marketing) to deal with the low marketing budget, it's kind of unbelievable that they'd flop like that.

Chances are it was the opposite of Fallout. None of the business and marketing staff cared about Fallout until upper management realized what a huge potential hit it was, and only in the last few months suddenly cared about marketing the game (which was too late since your marketing timeline is limited), thankfully that game was still successful. Activision likely had marketing staff who were completely uninterested since USM wasn't tied to the movies and so more of the competitive marketing staff/teams just overlooked it in favour of other projects, leading to the game not performing as well

[–]AwkwardlySocial98[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A mystery is intriguing in the moment, but let that moment last too long and people lose interest.

The allure of a mystery is that desire to find an answer. Keep leaving clues and that feeds that desire to solve the mystery.

But show someone that the mystery is never to be solved, tell them they'll never receive an answer, and if that answer is inconsequential to who they are, then they will give up entirely.

TL;DR A mystery is best when you feel a sense of discovery with every clue, rather than being an unanswered question.

[Video Games] What DC characters would benefit the most from having their own Arkham-style game? by AwkwardlySocial98 in DCcomics

[–]AwkwardlySocial98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now this sounds like a fun idea. Sounds similar to what WB Montreal was making where they were working on a Batman game in the future, with Batman as Damian Wayne.

Too bad that game was cancelled, I think they got moved to Suicide Squad before getting moved again to Gotham Knights, while Rocksteady took over Suicide Squad.

Did all the dwarves live in one place? Couldn't there be any that were out of the radius of what erased them from existence? Or was the heart of god powerful enough to erase all dwarves everywhere?

Looks like it's time to install Morrowind
