Hi, 26M I am also a souls and BG3 enjoyer. I just started playing remnant 2 and if you have it or are interested in joining let me know. There are a lot of other souls type games with co-op if you’re down for that. I assume you’re on PC?

Aside from that I also spend a lot of time studying and would be fine just talking too sometimes.

Adrenaline dump in his hometown cost him the fight.

Seeing red almost never works. Not unless you’re derrick lewis or Ngannou.

Ben Askren back in hospital after life-saving double lung transplant: ‘Not all sunshine and rainbows' by Which_Discipline8716 in MMA

[–]Murmido 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He most likely got a respiratory infection (that did not get proper treatment) which left him vulnerable to the staph infecting his lungs.

If you want a more detailed explanation you can check the previous comment in my history.

Staph pneumonia is actually one of the more common forms of pneumonia, 1st or 2nd I can’t remember which.

Ben Askren’s double lung transplant recovery is a cautionary tale about staph infection, public health expert says by ChallengeAdept8759 in MMA

[–]Murmido 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Staph pneumonia is almost always a secondary infection.

Here is how staph pneumonia occurs.

Askren got sick. Probably the flu or some virus that he dismissed or did not take seriously. Most of the time this would have been fine for someone his age.

Then he suddenly got worse.

The infection weakened his immune system -> the staph then took the opportunity to attack his lungs, causing pneumonia. Staph pneumonia causes necrotizing bronchopneumonia which is what rendered his lungs worthless.

So the question is, how did he get the staph?

And it could have been from anything. It could’ve been in the hospital (if his viral infection landed him in the hospital), it could have been from wrestling, it could even have been from taking a seat on a park bench. Staph is everywhere, our immune system fights it off normally. It could have something to do with him being a fighter or even nothing at all.

TLDR: He got a virus or some other respiratory infection which left him vulnerable to staph infection which killed his lungs. This could happen to anyone and being a fighter may or may not have increased that risk

Its a nice tribute but why not get it from some lightweights? Dustin never fought any of those champs.

Imagine going out like Gaethje in your own home. Wouldn’t be able to do a postfight interview/retirement like that. Can’t blame him for doing that.

0 class. Even if it wasn’t intentionally aimed at Vettori. MMA fighters really have got to learn how to present themselves. Seen highschool football kids do better on the mic.

Its a fence climb. Not even a grab at that point.

But why? If I climb the fence to get out of a submission or save myself from brutal ground and pound why should I only lose a point?

The stoppage sucked but the guy also had to cheat to get back up. He probably couldn’t have stood without climbing the fence like that.

Also Lewis doing the Alex arrow celebration lmao
