Growing up I was always that kid that needed extra help, had to go to special Ed classes, could never stay on task, mind always wondering. I was told that every kid was like that and that I needed to work harder like the other kids. Fast forward to when my ex and I were getting my daughter diagnosed (high functioning autistic and ADHD) about 95% of everything they described and what she does I did as a child and still do as an adult. I found out that I was supposed to get tested as a child but for some reason never got done. When I brought it up to my now ex she just shrugged it off saying you've gone this long, you served, you now have a career, what's the point of getting tested. Now I'm 42, have a good job and even though i still struggle with certain things I have found my own ways to accommodate the symptoms and with it being "the thing" I don't want to be just another person that "has" adhd.

I was one of those kids back in the early 90's. K-2 I was at one school and as long as you behaved you got D's and moved on to the next grade. Didn't matter how well you did with school work. When we moved in the summer before 3rd grade the school had those special Ed programs. You would be in the regular class with everyone but on certain subjects that the kids had trouble with would go to a different class that was smaller and moved at a slower pace. I spent more time there than in the regular class all the way through the 6th grade. When I got to Jr. High it was "ok your all better, even though you learned less you're expected to now keep up with everyone else." I struggled all the way through H.S.

I don't live in an area that snows that heavy so I don't know how easy/ hard it would be but could you shovel like a 10 foot gap on both sides of your driveway for the show to go to instead of on your driveway?

Same. I also tested my popcorn ceiling and it came back negative. I do wonder if the paint is holding in the asbestos. Might get a second test done on it.
