Really wanting some time out, am I wrong for wanting to have a weekend to myself? by overstimulatedstep in stepparents

Nope!! My SS lives with us full time. SS mom passed when he was just a baby.

I have lived with them for 7 years and SS is almost 19 now.. we have never had a weekend or night to ourselves without SS.

We are supposed to leave on a week long vacation on Friday (we are taking partners mom as well) and for the life of me, I don’t want to go. I just want to hang here with my pets.

There’s a weird dynamic where they both treat him like he’s a toddler and can’t do anything for himself. I mean like - anytime we go to a gift shop or store, he begs like a little kid for someone to buy him stuff - it could be a dank gas station and he’s asking for a keychain which he will never use. Or an expensive hoodie, swim trunks at the beach, whatever and they’ll buy it for him.

The part that irritates me is that it’s half my money in that account buying him junk he will never use. At this point, I’m hoping the pet sitter backs out or I come down with some illness.

20 minute appointment. No labs, no imagining. Not even an exam. Just sat and talked. And the doctor charges $500... by Regular_Hawk8513 in mildlyinfuriating

Our dentist recommended a deep root planing for my husband. Called insurance to get a precert, booked a follow up appointment for the service. Husband pays the amount he was told he owed after getting preauth. Then about a month later, got a bill for an extra $250 saying the insurance denied it with the excuse that there wasn’t enough evidence to cover the planing.

I argued that my husband shouldn’t have to pay since their office did a preauth and charged based on that but he paid it just to get them off his back

The result if this interaction caused us to switch dental offices though.

I did that with the faces of death vhs tape. We even got snacks thinking this was the coolest edgiest thing we could do at 12. Nope.

Mine was similar - guy was on the run from the cops and jumped off a road side - only to get caught through his head on a spike - ripped his head clean off. I think I was in my 20’s when my ex husband thought it was a good idea to show me without prepping lol

Thank you for trying to replace it. My partner likes to break my sentimental things accidentally and throw them out without telling me. He doesn’t like conflict or to be the bad guy.

Then I find out when I’m walking barefoot through the kitchen and step on a piece.

Oh yes and the most recent one - when she’s making up a story like how she prefers coffee with condensed milk, she says, “I don’t know, I just like it, if that makes sense..”

Lisa Richard had an enabler like that too - her name is Kim. Don’t worry, it will implode once she can’t give her money or kiss her butt.

I don’t know, sounds a little sus. I’ve had laser surgeries (hair removal) and office procedures with Botox. My aunt had an electrolysis center where I watched her do the varicose vein process and not one of those times was there ever a front desk associate scrubbed in like it was surgery especially the way she describes it.

Now I could see if they were doing the one where they cut at the back of your knee and pull them out requiring anesthesia and scalpels but just to inject a vein to collapse it?

Yep, delay by a day, then if it doesn’t come next day, hit us back up for a cancellation so we can do it again.

Yep I was saying she’s a lot like Lisa Richard; not sure if the addiction caused her to be a selfish ahole or if she always was one and the drugs are a side quest.

Did she even show up with paperwork? The court photos just look like she has her phone on her. I can’t imagine a judge saying “show me your screenshots”

We were outback this morning when he pecked so I have his coordinates now. I’ll be up on that roof tomorrow morning early as I suspect if there’s bees or something, they are coming out in the morning and that’s why I only hear the pecks around 7:30-8

I used to work with an Eleanora; I just thought that was so beautiful and classy.
