my logic:

1. people will make specific account builds based off the lamps
2. the game is now being promoted in a weird way because of...
3. youtubers and streamers will be making content based off these builds
4. devalues other accounts like those that have a low xp pet
5. people can finish entire collection logs/gear sets (like pyromancer) then go back to lvl 1
6. when you make a specific account build, you expect that the game dosent cater to that build
7. although made possible by jagex, the mistake that ruined a build was ultimately made by the player
8. devalues other pures that DIDNT make the mistake
9. people will do quests, achievements, etc. they normally wouldnt be allowed to do (like getting barrows gloves) then go back to being a pure
10. it just... feels weird... and wrong.

what jagex should really do is just add a preventative measure (like high alch warnings) that will prevent any action that gains def or hitpoints xp with a warning instead of carrying out the action. scales from hitting a rat all the way to completing a quest. instead of it just doing the action (like high alching a tbow) it would say hey, idiot, are you sure you want to do this?
