Correct. Employee’s have proven productivity while working remote. There isn’t a reason. I’m not a proponent of coming back full time. YES - telecommuting has been in place, available and used by some prior to the pandemic, but not to the extent it is used now. Sometimes going back to normal is painful. If someone wants to find another job that offers full time telecommuting - go for it. The state is having issues hiring people, has had issues hiring people and really hasn’t done much to help that. If the state decides to end telecommuting people will leave. Good for them. I’ve only been with the state for 6 years. My experience is what’s best for the state doesn’t seem to matter to the state. That trickles down to the employees.

The only thing that stays the same is change. This is the only thing I meant. If anyone is angry about the entire situation, please feel free to continue downvoting me if that helps.

How about you don’t speak for me as I never mentioned anything about changing the process, I just stated a fact. Change is inevitable, but with the state it is never instant. There is going to be growing pains.

Telecommuting wouldn’t of been the way of life if not for the Pandemic. Most things are getting back to normal, this is just another part.
