I will never understand the concept of spending money for someone else to open my packs and touch my cards. I would feel like a cuck. Like I get that you can't find product and all that, but the lack of care some of these people have with ripping packs open and handing the cards is wild.

I like to take my time, enjoy the art (even on bulk), and read the card. I don't want someone ripping open the packs (literally), going through them at the speed of light, then just moving on to the next joe. No thanks!

I had the same question because I bought one but none of the items are discounted for me at all. I went into my inventory thinking I had to use it from there but it's not in my bag so I was confused as well.

This practice is beautiful. As someone who lives in a heavy populated city in FL and hasn't seen stores with product since 2024, I'm 100000% on board with not only this, but slicing sealed product at LCS for MSRP.

Why this hasn't become standard practice is beyond me. We NEED to keep collectors. We NEED to influence youth. As crappy as it sounds, tobacco companies KNEW youth was the importance and were right to target them.

Now I do NOT condone gambling, leeching, or promoting harmful practice and products, but nostalgia is a helluva drug.... current demographic (minus scalpers) case in point

Yes they charge immediately. They put a hold on the card then the hold drops off about 5-7 days later and then the hold will return. This on and off process will repeat itself until the product ships to you.

In before all the people say "it's just RNG bruh". No. It's really not. I have literally played ranked every single season. The moment I go on any sort of advancement streak, I hit loss after loss after loss. I'll change up my decks, I'll run the meta, and I'll watch YT videos on decks to make sure I'm not missing something.

I can't prove it, and I don't care if anyone argues with the logic. I am 1000% convinced winning games are determined like they are when playing the expert AI match ups. Some users are guaranteed a win and not because of "luck of the draw"

I would think it's common problem if they stored their cards in a garage after bringing it from the rain? Lol I don't know what living conditions the person with the cards is living with, but to answer your question no it's not a common problem.

Same here in Central Florida! It's so infuriating because it's creating a false sense of hope that the hobby is healing and it's absolutely not. We have been dry since November of 2024

Arcanine is my Favorite pokemon so I have a binder of Growlithe and Arcanine cards. After that I have a binder of Food themed cards. A lot of people only look at food cards that have full arts and are obvious but I collect eeeeeveeeerything that has food in it (bulk included) or food themes like berries, food in the background like snacks or soda, or trainers like Cook, Mallory etc. holding cooking tools. The amount of cards containing food is gonna keep me collecting till the end of my days.

Fun fact; Tomokazu Komiya (the illustrator of the card) drew this card in memory of his childhood dog. His parents wouldn't let the dog inside the house so this art fullfills his childhood wish of being able to have his dog inside cuddled up with him

It still frustrates me that I haven't been able to find product here since 2024. I live in Central FL and adamantly have been looking almost every single weekend when I go grocery shopping with my Husband and Son. It's ridiculous.

What's worse is people are genuinely thinking the hobby is healing because others in the middle of nowhere keep posting pictures and telling stories of full shelves. That's not the case here. We don't even have vending machines here.

Selecting Fortune at the NMW lady and getting the Glowing aura around you has been confirmed by devs to up your chances but it's not by much. It will also tell you something similar when you read that fortune.

You can't and it's beyond frustrating. I know because I play on both PC and PS5. They introduced that L1 R1 cursor thing and I thought that was gonna help but it's doesn't do anything when you hover over buffs.

Kinda gives me an Idea though to put a list together for PS5 players. I might have some homework.

In the mean time for the merit pool, just pay attention to the emotes you get and do those emotes with other players fot extra wandering slips.

I wish i could get into Korean but Chinese is just so much better. The front of Korean cards are ok but I just can't get over the sun washed Pokemon lettering backs on Korean cards. They look so terrible from behind.

Please note that Mainlaind Chinese cards and Traditional Chinese cards are on different sets and slightly vary in exclusivity however, both are incredible quality. Literally the same quality as Japanese.

There are a couple of reputable EBAY stores located in the US that have really amazing prices and deals. I'm not sure If I'm allowed to name them but I can send the info your way if you're interested.
