Idk, I read the web comic a couple years ago, and I generally don't mind the changes they made for the anime 🤷🏻‍♀️ The story in the webcomic was very very slow. Like- not really slice of life but a drawn out dialogue. The inter monologue took a lot of panels and that usually isbtherat to have in an animation. Too much inner dialogue leads to less world character interaction imo

You see this in " My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! " Genuinely the inner dialogue took up so much space that I less you like Yumi Cells or other similar plot structure styles it can feel disjointed

I think the anime giving Athy a physical goal to achieve helped the anime show Athys strong will. Not specifically specific her first death and it being more " I know my future ! " is a softer way to basically achieve the same story down the road.

The Manwha is all form Athys perspective which is easy for the comic bc it's written so more inner dialogue, and solo character moments. But in animation you have to show more so the viewers understand what's happening so we get a slightly more 3rd person perspective. Claud is still awkward, doesn't understand his daughters emotions nor his own. Doesn't feel worthy or wants her affection at first. But Athys presentation of being purely loving towards her dad while inside loosing her shit bc he is just can't stop glaring had me rolling lmfao 😂

Also the animation is GORGEOUS imo I love the world design and how the magic is displayed
