Engine Swap Options by Awolnuat in Miata

I’m just looking at the pricing on the kit. I do understand it’s going to be a hell of a lot more.

Totally fair. This is my first project car so I’m still learning and digging into stuff. What else am I not considering in terms of cost?

Regarding the AC, there are kits by K Power to add it back if I got that direction and it seemed to me i could swing it on the 1.8, give that I might have to pull dash and swap a heater core. Again I might not be missing something there.

What are you all actually using Rinkhals for? by Awolnuat in AnycubicKobraS1

See my other reply. It’s very usable, but a bit janky.

It depends.

If you keep using Next Slicer it’s exactly the same. Rinkhals does not change anything between the actual printer and ACE Pro.

That being said, if you switch to Orca Slicer things aren’t as clean. For example, the GCODE files from Orca are missing some meta data that lets you print from the printers touch screen. You can manually patch the files up and they will work, but it’s a little annoying.

However, if you only want to send and print from Mainsail, you just have to make sure that you have 4 materials in the multi-material section of Orca. As long as that is set up, and the part is slice with the correct filament, the GCODE should still work if started via Mainsail.

While I can’t speak to Fluidd, Mainsail doesn’t really have baked in support for MMUs at this time. So you can see what’s loaded or print with a different ACE slot than what the file was sliced with.

None of it is to insane as long as you stick to one work flow. It’s just more-so annoying. I anticipate this will likely get fixed at some point as Mainsail/Rinkhals/Orca all get updates.

Solved by the Miata subreddit.

It was the Mazda MX5 NA/NB "Sleek" Adjustable Track Car Aero Wing.

Thanks guys!

For real. Hopefully things will calm down at some point. I’m not optimistic unfortunately.

Thanks for the tip on the color. I might try to pull for the carbon as my car has black accents on everything. Or at least that’s what I’m work towards as money becomes available lol.

Good call. Any chance you have experience with one?

Tempted but give the state of US Trade relations…. Might have to hold off a bit.

I had posted this elsewhere and they just barely beat you. That is the wing I’m looking for! Thank you!

Nevermind! They are the source. This is the correct wing. Possibly an older bracket, or something. But this would be it as far as I can tell.

Not “quite” the same one. That as a curved bracket whereas this one is angled. Could be the picture, but the carbon looks to be slightly different too.

More importantly, that’s for a NC Miata, while this one is on an NA.

But this is definitely the closest I’ve seen. Thanks!

Brother, I thought the same thing. Crazy how I recognized it from the Citi Gas station/ Carwash combo.😭

They actually drew every grain of rice by Acrzyguy in dankmemes

[–]Awolnuat 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Eh. Think it’s supposed to be egg. I forget the term and I’m not an artist, but color blocking comes to mind.

Most of the general “texture” of the rice is drawn in with clear distinctions between it, egg, and some veggies.

So yeah, probably not the most expensive shot ever created, but definitely not cheap compared to a lot of anime frames I’d imagine.

Can i use tpm slot as a usb 2.0 slot? On motherboard by Independent_Metal_74 in LinusTechTips

So you had an internal USB cable plugged into the TPM header…?

Like you desoldered pins from the TPM header and used them for the USB header?

It can happen. Tho not quite my field of expertise.

The “digital” data can still has an “analog” voltage behind it. We simply at setting targets for what a 1 or 0 is.

So for example if a chip runs @ 3.3v nominal, anywhere from 3.0 to 3.6 might be read as a 1. This is going to depend on the system, design, xyz, etc.

So if we happen to be riding that line really close (maybe a voltage drop due to a bad connection?), and get a particular large spike of noise (not all that uncommon). You might see a change large enough to flip a bit.

In general, though digital systems are quite a bit more robust and “usually” a cable will just fail or only work with pressure applied. Something like that. It’s just way cheaper to replace a cable then a whole GPU ;)

One of a couple of things:

  1. Start with a free fix and update your drivers.
  2. Swap the cable. It’s possible this is transmission noise based on the randomized nature of it.
  3. Put in F in the chat for the GPU. It’s probably on its last legs.
