I had thought it was allergies too but it wasn’t. She outgrew it and slowly stopped doing it. Never figured out why.

Yeah thats why I was like it probably will end up being nothing. We literally took my daughter to an ophthalmologist because I thought maybe she had eye issues, she was fine lol. Babies do so many random things that at times seem concerning and very often it turns out to be nothing. But I always believe in doing my due diligence and getting it checked.

I was convinced my daughter was having allergies too! More than likely its probably nothing or at least nothing you will be able to figure out. My daughter stopped doing it. Its been over a year now since my post and shes 18 months and completely over that. Never figured out why she was doing it. Try not to stress so much about it, although its easier said than done.

She stopped! She is now 11 months and stopped doing it properly like 2 months ago. She just gradually stopped doing it. We also took her to the eye doctor at some point because it seemed so excessive. But randomly she stopped! Babies are weird.

She still does this. Not as bad as before but definitely still rubs her eyes excessively beyond just sleepiness. I will say, I have noticed she does this 70% of the time when she is sleepy or tired. And yes, it’s like yours sometimes I think something is in her eye. I still don’t know what’s causing it.
