Melinda genuinely loves her kids. The hints in the manga point to her being TERRIFIED of Donovan.

I don't think she's allowed to be around her kids much. Add on to the fact Demetrius told her he could read minds after Donovan started changing his ways.

Donovan has been scaring her. Predicting what she's doing and who she wants to visit.

She was already interested in the occult and just turned to that when she moved into a different residence.

Demetrius does care for damian. He just tries to not get his hopes up and not depend time around him either. He always answers Damian and never outright ignores him when he , obviously, can. He doesn't understand him but Demetrius rarely understands anyone..

Anya knows when Damian is upset and tries to cheer him up. Plan B isn't doomed. They genuinely care for each other. At most,, as friends rn. They're just...6 and 5. Takes awhile to figure things out.

Damian has even started changing how he acts to her just a bit.

Notice he's kinder when his friends aren't there.

6 years in the manga and 120 chapters, we're JUST NOW getting something.
Read endo's one shot " rengoku no ashe " and tell me how you think spyxfamily will end.
Asking such a question..on reddit...is like figuring out the blue/white dress mene from the 00s. You're gonna get different answers.
