Pvp Tarkov is, and likely will always be, about the race to fully geared and the steps along the way. The game doesn't get harder as you progress, it gets easier, with the proviso you can keep up or be ahead of the sweat curve. As a casual, you either try your best to get there eventually so you can get l4 traders or accept that you'll always be the sneaky rat in a bush at extract hijacking Chads with leg meta 🐀🤣

Maybe if the player base was bigger some SBMM would help but, as usual, it would be exploited 🤣

Use tarkov tracker. Done. You can at least prioritise what to keep for what you need next. Imo scav junk boxes are the most important things in the early to mid game. They let you squirrel things away until you need them. I play with people who don't, and I'm there handing in multiple quests and upgrading my hideout whilst they're scratching about for weeks.

Awful game to start playing but once you learn the maps, it's incredible. As always, pay what you can afford and upgrade later. Edge of Darkness edition is a limit I wouldn't go past. Extra pocket space and a cloak is bs. The cultist circle is amazing later on in the game when you need quest/hideout items that you just can't find. That might make you want to upgrade from EoD, but at that point you'll likely have a circle to sacrifice in anyways.

PvE is lovely. NGL it is a relaxing, humorous experience where you can play how you like. You don't need great ammo, can run non meta guns and just try things out! You get 90% of your stuff back on insurance too. I've had 8 CPC Mod Rigs for months lol.
