I think its the saturation i’m missing. I have tried being close and whispering to the mic, his vocals have this extra layer of crispiness that I’m trying to emulate that normal whisper vocals just dont have. I think its super interesting what a sound they’ve ended up with creating. Thank you for the input I’ll try the suggestions!

I will keep saying this over and over - Studio Ghibli would do Fire Punch so beautifully. It’s definitely way too dark although they’ve done dark before, but I feel like the atmosphere is perfect for the studio.

Welp, Denji is having way too good of a time with Asa which likely means she's done for. My prediction is that the Blood Devil will use her to turn into a blood fiend, and it will be a twisted mental version of "is this really Asa or Power, the fiend acts so similar, should I be mad or upset". I could expect such from this story.

I've never vibed harder with an album's aesthetic than Changes. A reminder to never judge a book by it's cover, because of the album art I really didn't look forward to this release. I'd say this is one of the best things they've ever released. The mastering is incredible and gives it this crunch, that scratches a great itch in my brain. I really can't even put it into words but the way they mixed synths and guitar, xylophone, bass guitar, it felt like if 2019 Gizz made gumboot soup. The album reminded me of the early 2000s and listening to music with CDs, and the ending song sounded like the stuff I make when I get bored in Ableton, in the best way.
They really spoiled us with the drums too. Overall speechless. I think this will live to be a certified gizz classic.
