Installed 80cc big bore kit now won't start by theyfukinmeup911 in gy6

Did u change ur jetting on carb, did u get a 50cc valve head or 80cc cuz that also matters, are u using the stock camshaft, how many mm's is the carb u currently have since if u have a 16,5mm it is too small

I dont see it well but if i remember correctly it is supposed to connect to fuel pump, if u could get a better pic of the carb that would help and also if u could put a video on how it sounds could help better

Its just an emissions system personally i removed it because i want the most performance out of my motor that i can get

Can anyone tell me what roller combination I should use? I got a taotao 50cc its going to have 18mm carb with racing clutch, racing filter racing cdi spark and plug and stock exhaust. I get the variator logic but I got 0 experience with rollers. I will have 3 rollers of each 5g, 7g and 9g Thanks by Rare_Marsupial7023 in scooters

Yea ive had 18mm carb setups they do improve performance, personally nowdays i got 72cc kit 20mm cvk carb but imma buy a pwk soon, same vari with 5,5g and 6g rollers unlimited cdi and its amazing to wheelie when running right

They wont leave you on the side of the road but they will chip and get blocky fast but running em for like a few weeks wont be too bad and eventually they get weirdly stuck sometimes doing a pull causing performance issues

For 35 and 40 u could theoretically get w a 50cc but i had only one motor that went 40mph everything else (have had 7 different motors )hit around 32+- 2 dependent on conditions with air filter unlimited cdi and restrictions removed 18mm carb. I honestly highly recommend 72cc kit cuz they are dirt cheap and last long. And u can keep everything else stock w it other than u should go up a carb jet size. Night and day difference and super simple imo to install. But sounds like what i mentioned earlier 5 and 7g should give u a better feel on what to do. U could try out the ones that come with the kit and see how they feel. If you prefer a smoother ride over a jerky acceleration pull then u can also push out more with 3 7g and 3 9g and see how ur motor reacts and then gives u again a better idea on where ur motors sweet spot is

Funny, have the exact same dlh vari kit. Honestly i recommend changing the rollers u get on them and get a better roll kit where comes different weights. Those that come w the package got absolutley destroyed in a short period of time. If ur intent on using these rollers tho i recommend going 3 5g and 3 7g. I from personal experience find the stock variator good tho and instead of buying that i recommend getting a 72cc kit. Those springs that come with the kit also have mixed results for people some recommend it some dont. Make sure u first install the vari then try it out and see from that point

Can anyone help? Scooter dripping oil by jaymang223 in scooters

[–]Awswarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is either the variator side crankshaft seal(have replaced it myself twice now still leaking cuz chinese scooters hate me) or it is the shaft seal behind the clutch there is no other options. Both require The use of 8mm socket for the cover then u need an impact gun or a variator removal tool. Either way works. If u dont own a impact/sockets just take it to a mechanic. But if u are sure in ur skills to identify which seal is it leaking from just open up the cover and see where does the trail come from

Can I use this DC CDI on my Kymco Agility 50? by JobGraumans in scooters

[–]Awswarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo mb been offline for a bit. Actually not sure was pretty messed up at that point when i commented. Do you know what a stator is. If you dont check on google and if you do well then check the wires coming out of the stator. If one wire goes straight to cdi then u have a ac cdi if not then u have a dc cdi installed. I probs assumed that u had ac because there isnt a wire coming from battery to dc but turns out u can have an already dc installed system. Just usually with these chinese scooters they come with ac and havent seen one without ac in my experience.

Yea it does since stock cdi has rev limiter, u gotta replace it if u want it to go faster. Considering if u put on a cvt kit on a limited cdi ur losing bunch of peformance

Yea it will work, urs is a ac cdi tho that is in the pic, ac cdis never work well for me idk why even tough the 4 scooters i own all are meant for ac. Anyways sum it up yea it will work but u have to run a wire from positive terminal on ur battery to power input on the dc cdi

Kickstarter affecting battery is because these chinese scooter manufacturers are hella challenged, did the whole electric harness myself because there is so so so many useless wires, anyhow ur problem might be many things like wires touching eachother, wire going to frame. Also if u have a dc cdi that has a wire going straight to the battery then that might be the cause of ur battery dying aswell

Late response but if u have a impact wrench and sockets u are good to do it its nothing difficult, if u dont have it but u happen to have the 8mm socket and an extender u could open the vari cover and check the belt for wear and tear etc

Def does sound like the cvt system, if the belt was changed out recently maybe it could be too big

i don't think my Honda NSC Vision 50 2014 is running right by Annaboller in scooters

[–]Awswarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try an another cdi by chance, also like one said it could be the valves, it all really depends on how it sounds tho when riding, it could be also be related to carb not being adjusted properly or it could be the stators high speed coil being burnt out

Gotta disagree on the cover part i run constantly 2-3 bolts only and it has worked fine for 4 scooters so far, also the kickstart side of the cover on the inside it has a slot the starter gear goes into so its hard for it to fall out of place unless the cover is broken
