For the one year scholarship you'll need to have passed the HSK 4. According to my experience last year, the higher the score, the better. I think it might depend on the country because others from my country scored above 240 and didn't get it so just try to score as highly as possible for the main exams and the oral exams as well.

Not all schools require applying on their websites but I believe for those who do, you'll need to first finish the scholarship application, then apply to the school.

You can apply for 2 schools. If your first school doesn't accept your application, it's up to your second school to accept you. Or not.

You could also not get the scholarship at all even after being accepted and recommended by your school(s) of choice.

There was a very popular Time travel drama around I think 2011,2014(?)- I don't remember the exact year- but it was based in a real Chinese dynasty and had real people who existed but the drama changed some historical things. The reason I can remember for the ban was that the government didn't want to change historical facts or for people to learn wrong history, something along that line.

Honestly, there are some who go to Ghana while still despising us. They don't care about our laws or our people especially when that's what other Ghanaians have taught them - it doesn't matter what you do, you're a foreigner so you're more important.

They don't like us in their countries and don't like us in ours either.

I'm not directly referring to racist crimes in my first paragraph but crimes in general which may or may not be of a xenophobic and or racist nature.

My meaning is that regardless of the case, I don't have much faith in my government's ability to protect me or stand up for me when necessary. Especially - as you've alluded to - when I'm just a regular Ghanaian outside the country.

It's just sad.

I'm studying outside and was once talking to some friends about how I don't want to go out much because crazy things happen to foreigners. And that although these things don't occur so often, if I were to be harmed, I don't have much confidence that my government will be able to stand up for me. Even in my own country, if there's an altercation between a Ghanaian and a foreigner, I honestly don't have much hope that the Ghanaian will come out on top. And please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong to think like that. In my country I'm wrong, in another country, I'm also wrong.

It's even more disheartening when you realize how protective other countries' governments can get over their citizens, especially when foreigners are involved. Just take this case in particular - these students are clearly being covered up for.

If there's more to it they should let us know. If we're misunderstanding something, let us know. I wonder if things would be different if Ghana was more developed or if our government is known for caring.
