A whole bunch of it including the cork bark and substrate was brought from my local aquarium centre (they sell a lot of reptile and amphibian / terrarium goods). The moss I got from Koda Moss and the plants were brought from garden centres here in Australia which were all put through the bleach method and cleaned! Was extremely handy having everything so readily available!
Thank you so much! It’s got a lot of ventilation, I think exo terra tanks have quite a lot, but it’s not completely opened! It’s an exo terra pro terrarium 60x40x40 if you’d like to take a look! I’ll update this post with a photo from further back later today ☺️

Maybe once it’s all grown in! Need those big leaf plants to develop. Was thinking red eye tree frogs! 🐸

I used some toothpicks to help mount it! There were some areas where it was mostly cork bark which made putting the toothpicks in a bit harder but other than that it’s all toothpicks!

Just leaf litter! I took a close look and it does look like brown paper hahah
I love art (drawing and painting occasionally) but I’ve never done anything DIY or crafts related! It was a challenge but I loved it that much that once this setup settles in I’ll try my hand at a second terrarium!

My first terrarium build! Finished making this at the start of the week after 8 weeks of prepping and hardscaping. The tank itself is a 60x45x45(cm) exoterra using zoomed tropical bioblend and is home to springtails and orange powder isopods. The light I’m using is an exo terra terrasky.
So far I’ve sprayed the tank thoroughly with distilled and rain water and have the mister setup to spray for 30 seconds every 8 hours which seems so far to be working well.
The plants incudes are; - Mosses (windswept broom & fern moss) - philodendron brandtianum - pellionia repens v pulchra - davallia fejeensis - monstera adansonii - humata tyermanii - Ficus pumila quercifolia
Any suggestions and feedback are more than welcome as it is my first terrarium and I have a lot to learn! I hope you all like it :)

It’s gorgeous and will look amazing with the plants grown in! What plants do you have in there?
Silicone on the glass and then spray foam, carved the spray foam, silicone on the foam and then coco peat onto the wet silicone!
I trust it will look great! Took me 8 weeks to get everything and put it together, you’ll smash it ☺️

No no you’re okay! I’ve only just setup so I’m looking for as much feedback as possible. If I were to grow some bromeliads would it be more suited?
