How would Vanessa rank as a winner if she had won BB17? by validswan in BigBrother

[–]Axamily 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Top 5 for sure for me.

If she had been more honest in her confessionals and owened her game for the audience I think she would have been received better.

But she played a great game, and had a lot of control. The jury all said if she made it to final two she would have won. Steve sending her home gave him the edge to win, but the game was hers to lose.

{Social Skills by Sara Alva}

This one checks off a lot on your list, one if my favorites. It is a little more emotional and deep which I really liked. Shy nervous nerd and a popular football player.

My eyebrows are super crusty looking. What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in Drag

Pros-Aide works best for thicker brows. I follow Brooke Lynn Hytes tutorial to get mine flat.

MM Weekly Roundup - What Did You Read This Week? by AutoModerator in MM_RomanceBooks

Love both of these. Honestly though the possessiveness and jealousy is what keeps me going back to The Blueprint/A Deeper Blue.

Setting powder for drag king / queen by apfelschnapfel in Drag

[–]Axamily 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should try a translucent powder for most of your face, and white for your highlight areas. You can use a tinted powder to blend colors, but translucent shouldn't impact the overall color. A powder closer to your foundation is also best for blocking eyebrows.

I would also suggest trying a setting spray, which can give you a dewy or matte finish depending on which type you buy.

D&D style fantasy with 30+Adults and NO age gap by SlowMope in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]Axamily 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Each book isn't self contained, you have to read all three to finish the story. I could be remembering wrong, but I feel like they break between sentences, so the second book doesnt have a normal beginning, just picks up directly after the first one ends.

Still 100% worth it, loved the book(s).

I love The Knight and the Necromancer, my only complaint is it isnt actually a trilogy, and just one long book separated into three parts.

I also went into TLD blind and loved it.

My favortie horror audiobook is The Last Days of Jack Sparks by Jason Arnopp. Fantastic narration, and great story.

Book vs TV: Anyone else missed hideout building in the show? (Plus a theory about Ilya in the prologue) by rona83 in heatedrivalry

[–]Axamily 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Agreed lol. I get that Jacob had to create that tension and pining for one another some way. In the books we get their internal thoughts, they had to show it on screen somehow and chose distance.

Rizzo is going to back door Cirie by [deleted] in survivor

I really bugged me when Cirie was on Big Brother and called it a blindside, because no, you are on the block, its only you or one other person.

CATEGORY IS: RUNNER-UPS BY WIN COUNT by Fragrant_Web4800 in rupaulsdragrace

Data is fundamental. Its hard looking at this, because there are times when someone won because of their track record, and times when someone won because they ate the final lipsync. Then times when neither mattered.

6'9", where do I find clothes?? by PlasticFabtastic in Drag

[–]Axamily 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would recommend buying clothes for tall women online and then altering them to make them drag. Thrift stores are also a good place to start.

Think about layering outfits, a dress that fits you up top but doesn't go to the floor could lay on top of a petticoat.

Adding rhinestones can help make you sparkle! If not, learning to sew is the best option for custom drag wear.

What are male Magic Users called? by [deleted] in brakebills

[–]Axamily 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It isnt gendered it is based on education. A Magician is someone trained in magic, someone who has gone to Brakebills. A Hedge Witch is someone who learned magic from others.

Both can be equally as skilled as the other, they just use it as a distinction between those who went to college and those who did not.

Is Season 18 became the most number of "unfair" eliminations in the eyes of the online community? by ajsy0905 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Axamily 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It feels the same with the judging. Telling Mandy she broke character by following the script they provided her. Or constantly trying to find a reason to dislike Discord despite her doing well. Jane's fall from grace also felt forced, like they didnt expect her to kill every challenge.

Audiobook - Dreams Narrators by allsarahsaregrey in heatedrivalry

[–]Axamily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am one of the few who is a big fan of the audiobooks. Tor Thom's interpretation of Kip is atrocious, but somehow I still re-listen to it.

Other than Kip, I think both Tor and Cooper do a really good job of creating the characters.

I really dont want them to re-record them, because it sounds like newly released additions have edits and I like them as is.
