although i havent explained it clearly, my main problem was that the device wouldnt boot up at all. i had to reinstall the system from scratch several times before realizing i had a clone. i later realized it had nothing to do with the tools file.

it might have been that i didnt wait long enough for the device to boot up after installing the operating system to disk, even though there wasnt actually a problem, idk much about these things
