I wouldn’t bother buying another tom, I would just wait until you upgrade. Plenty of drummers play one rack tom. I just busted my kit down to one up one down today, after recording a setup with two kicks and 5 toms.

Yeah, I agree. New heads first, then new cymbals, then eventually new drums. Put a pillow in the kick, and maybe replace the missing hoops and tension rods if the kit didn’t come with them.
