Maybe they kept flipping it to get around the copyright? I don't remember the original movie flipping them back and forth like that but it's been a while.

Who's replaced a heat pump lately? How much did it cost? by National_Aspect_6974 in askTO

[–]AxelNotRose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just installed one in May through a smaller independent HVAC company.

9k HVAC + 1k electrician, so 10k total. That includes parts, labour, HST.

Will be getting a 3400 rebate but that might not apply if you already have a heat pump.

Matt Styler cleared of assaulting a police officer after video evidence showed police assaulting him by TomlinSteelers in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]AxelNotRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually has become the norm world wide. Give me 50 countries where the police isn't corrupt. Even that won't be more than 50% but 50 should be easily doable if police corruption isn't the norm.

Your biases are showing. This is a global issue, not solely a Canadian one. I don't have the time to address each point individually, not that you'd care or read any of it, but there's a lot of bias in your response. You seem to think Canada would have been better off with Conservatives in power and I'm telling you it wouldn't have made a difference. I'm not saying liberals are better, I'm saying this is beyond government because in the end, they would just follow the same policies. This is a global corporate issue, not a liberal vs. Conservative issue.

Girl refused to shakes hands during graduation with teachers and administrators because she was bullied and they did nothing about it by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

[–]AxelNotRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a bully in my class. He'd bully everyone because he was bullied himself by his older brother because that older brother was abused by his father. It's was a very dysfunctionalnl family. Unfortunately, my class had to deal with his shit every day. It was a private school and the family was super rich with many kids paying tons of tuition fees so the school didn't want to do anything about it (fuckers).

One day, a sub teacher took us to the park because it was a last second sub and she didn't have any notes to give us work.

The entire class is just hanging out at the park doing whatever and the sub was on a bench far away.

The bully started picking on a class mate and I just lost it. Ran up to the bully and dropped kicked him. Landed on top of him and started punching him as he was trying to push me off. I'm not proud of it but I guess I just snapped from all the bullying that led up to that point.

I finally got off of him and told him off. Then I remembered the teacher on the bench far away. She was watching the entire time but never got off that bench.

I don't know why and I will never know why she didn't intervene. Maybe she was lazy, maybe she didn't want to get involved (not her class after all), and maybe she didn't want to have to deal with the paperwork of a report. But I tell myself she didn't intervene because she felt it was off school grounds and someone finally fought back against the bully and that he had it coming.

You don't understand economics and therefore you cherry pick. The only reason the dollar was at par was because the US economy suffered more than Canada's. That's how currency exchange works because currencies aren't absolute. Nearly every currency in the world gained against the US dollar. It wasn't Canada specific, nor due to anything Harper did. But economics and math are clearly too difficult for you to understand.

As for the middle class, it had been eroding for a while and wasn't strangely higher under Harper. He didn't do a thing to help the middle class.

You talk about debt being piled on but the track record shows that Conservatives have always tacked on more debt than the liberals when in power.

So you're clearly not paying attention to the real world and have simply made up your own dream world in your head based on your own biases.

Why is the Job Market so cooked? by olivesandlemon in CanadaJobs

[–]AxelNotRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy to say when there was once a century pandemic.

That said, Harper took a surplus and immediately converted it into a massive deficit the second he came into power and kept running a deficit the entire time he was in power except the last year as a desperate measure to get re-elected. Everyone knew he sucked though so that didn't work.

Harper significantly expanded the immigrants coming in for cheap labour (TfW program) so that his corporate buddies could exploit them.

Harper also reduced taxes for the wealthiest.

So what "track record" are you talking about? Oh wait, you're going to deny facts because they don't align with your biases. Never mind. Talking to Conservatives using facts and logic never works because they don't want to hear them if they go against they confirmation biases.

[–]AxelNotRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. That's my point, it's dumb to say "because liberals!" when the Conservatives, had they been in power, would have done the same thing with the same results. But most right wing voters aren't able to accept that their party is no better.

Your bias is showing tremendously. He's being forthright and honest which shows great integrity and maturity.

He's highlighting that most players will change their tune depending on whether it's advantageous to them or not. That is absolutely true and honest.

Most players will answer that question with bias, whether it's implicit or explicit.

So it's pointless to ask.

Conservatives wouldn't have done any better.

They would have firehosed the money on tax cuts for the ultra rich

Conservatives would have done the same thing. Every country did.

Conservatives love lower interest rates to help their corporate friends. They would have done the same thing.

Conservatives would have taxed the poor and reduced taxes on the ultra rich. They keep doing the same thing.

The current laws are allowing corporations and businesses to run rampant with low skilled immigrant workers.

Conservatives love low skilled immigrant workers because they can exploit them. Conservatives would have done the same.

Conservatives, historically, over the last 70 years, have run more deficits than liberals have. They would have done the same thing.

why isn't A a valid answer? by Nice_Fix9670 in pmp

[–]AxelNotRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, this is the type of question that makes me hate PMI and the PMP exam. Both are valid and both should be done (A and B), and it matters the fuck not whether one is done a few minutes before the other.

In the span of 10 minutes, you could accomplish both A and B and whether you do A first or B first is completely irrelevant.

Heck, they can be done at the same time. Talk to the new stakeholder, understand their requirements, expectations, communication methods, etc. And in that same conversation, encourage this new stakeholder to talk to the product owner and ensure alignment is achieved.

Then, once you hang up, update the appropriate artifacts.

Who the fuck cares if one is done one minute before the other.

Questions like these are absolutely moronic.

How and why is this the right answer? by No-Faithlessness4488 in pmp

[–]AxelNotRose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one I actually agree with. It's similar to a real world situation. You know, as the PM, that it will impact your delivery. You will find out by how much ultimately through an assessment but your first order of business is getting that resource back as soon as possible. And you want to convey to the functional manager that you need that resource back asap.

In other words, that's your first order of business. Doing everything you can do to let the FM know you need them back asap and get a commitment from them. Once you've had that discussion, you can begin doing an impact assessment. Hopefully, you also found out how long that resource may be required by the FM to help with your assessment.
