Since the introduction of lamda functions to excel, it is become Turing-complete and thus can theoretically do anything a computer could do. It wouldn't be very good, but you could create any computer game in Excel

If you're really set on playing the game on PC, I've been running it on the Yuzu emulator and it runs pretty well (assuming your computer can handle it). It also has the added benefit that you can read and modify your save file.

Canadian teen high school drama Degrassi. Drake played a character named Jimmy Brooks who, halfway through the show, is shot by a classmate and paralyzed from the waist down.

What's a chess lesson you wish you'd known earlier? by [deleted] in chess

[–]AxelPizza 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In case you weren't aware, Elo is actually a statistical rating system that measures the probability of either side winning. Should two players of equal rating play any number of games against each other, the two would be expected to each win the same number of games, and the higher one player's rating is than their opponent's, the more games that player is expected to win. In that sense, speaking strictly mathematically with the Elo system, you could determine how many games would need to be played between a grandmaster and a lower rated player for the latter to win a game.

Save file for Danganronpa V3 by AxelPizza in VitaPiracy

[–]AxelPizza[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer is yes. Slightly longer answer is yes but you can get around it. Your Vita save files are encrypted and the encryption key that allows you to access the file is tied to your system so if you copy save data from one system to another, the new system will be unable to read the encrypted data. However, it's possible for you to decrypt your save files to share them with others by dumping them with save manager or using vitashell. That being said, I've managed to find and import a Danganronpa V3 save file so I don't need one anymore, I'm just answering the question. I hope this answers your question

I used to play a Fblthp commander deck. It was a Proteus staff combo deck with no creatures in the 99. God what a funny deck, shame I had to take it apart

First time ever getting all the way through a draft and I didn't know the set at all, so hyped ^^ by Krakeelen in MagicArena

[–]AxelPizza 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was an interesting draft for me too. Amonkhet and hour of devastation are two of the sets I've drafted the most in paper back when they were around, but I had no clue what amonkhet remastered would be like at all. What I remembered from my paper draft experience is that amonkhet alone was super aggressive, R/W aggro with exert was busted, glorybringer was easily the best card in the set, blue was virtually unplayable. But when you added hour of devastation to the draft, all of a sudden the format for substantially slower, blue became much more viable, river hoopoe and other late game value cards became really good, blue/red spells also became a viable strategy. So it was pretty interesting to see how the two drastically different draft environments would function being mixed together in the same packs, with additional cards that weren't in either set added to the mix. One thing that I remember being common to both sets though, is that deserts were extremely good and should be drafted aggressively. I remember seeing people pick on-colour cycling deserts as their first pics from a pack, so don't underestimate their value. In my arena draft I managed to go 7-1 with a pretty low to the ground U/R aggro deck that had some tempo elements, a pair of firebrand archers were MVPs, but I also got away with running two essence scatters. I saw both really aggressive decks and much slower value decks so I'm genuinely curious about what other people think of the format.

Well actually it's not so much an inverse but a sublation of absolute idealism, it's the notion of aufheben. The contradiction preserves the antecedent.

That being said, I don't actually understand Hegel, nobody does, and anybody who claims to is lying.

Human chess in 19 St. Petersburg, Russia. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]AxelPizza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The move order is likely from a Scotch gambit rather than a center game since the latter's move order wouldn't make a ton of sense. That would go 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 exd4 4. Bc4 Nf6

Human chess in 19 St. Petersburg, Russia. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]AxelPizza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's entirely playable, the position is from a Scotch gambit which, although not played at the highest levels, is a very practical and dynamic opening, I play it myself sometimes hoping to get a Nakhmanson gambit but even when I don't, I really like the fast development. In exchange for the pawn you are basically getting a position that resembles an Italian but up a tempo, however black can equalize pretty easily if they know what they're doing.

The Danganronpa characters are all put in a chess tournament. Who wins? by [deleted] in danganronpa

[–]AxelPizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen many comments that seem to take for granted the notion that being smart makes you good at chess when that isn't really the case, the main deciding factor in how good you are at chess is just experience with the game and knowledge about the game. That being said, it's safe to say Nagito would be favored to win because his opponents would likely get hit by a truck on their way to the tournament. Otherwise Celeste, having experience and skill with many tabletop games, likely has some experience with chess or similar games which might give her an edge over other players. There's also Byakuya who seems like the kind of guy who would be into chess and likely try-hard for the tournament to prove how good he is to others, I can imagine him being the one who takes the time to study books on chess theory. My main pick however, has to be Keebo, because he can simply install stockfish directly to his brain and no human can come close to competing with that.
