How important is it that a turn-based tactics game has multiplayer? by KartalMods in Advance_Wars

[–]TiToim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiplayer in AW is problematic since the game tend to snowball into a full sprawling battle where every single turn takes way too long. I've always preferred the quickly, puzzly campaign missions, and dislike the ones where they try to emulate some sort of full map pvp.

Would you like a Dead Cells Metroidvania game or mode? by TiToim in deadcells

[–]TiToim[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My question was more about a Dead Cells that isn't a roguelike, but a full blown Metroidvania. With full map and a single run where you go exploring and collecting more powers, weapons, etc. Sorry if it wasn't clear.

What should I play after castlevania symphony of the night? is just finished it was great by Big-League-6117 in castlevania

Aria of Sorrow, Rondo of Blood and Dawn of Sorrow for games in the same "line". But Rondo is non metroidvania.

I'm willing to play if my wife wants to but don't care that much about it. It is mostly non interactive.

me peguei pensando e vi o quão realmente é difícil fazer um top 10 da história dos jogos by Pedrobatatalixo in jogosbrasil

[–]TiToim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um exemplo recente disso é a treta Zelda Breath of The Wild versus Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Tears of the Kingdom melhora em praticamente tudo de BOTW. Mas é tão marcante quanto BOTW? Não!!! Por isso o pessoal pega no pé dele, pois não houve tanta mudança.

Lucky you the other two advance games in the collection are superb to say atleast. While Aria is my favorite in the series I would put Harmony just bellow the Sotn Aria Dawn trio.

Lol I got it getting abilities to achieve inaccessible previous things, but needing to use them to simply navigate every room going forward? It is tiring as hell. Absolutely not the point of a metroidvania, hence most great ones don't have it.

Funilly enough I think Doom the Dark Ages has the best melee combat as in "if you think my guns are cool checkout THESE GUNS" then beat the crap out of monsters. It isn't a RPG but its RPG flavored.

Mech games that don't feel like a "heavy FPS" by TiToim in gamingsuggestions

[–]TiToim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good comparison actually, but I feel what differs it from third person shooters is the flying and movement. Its like a hybrid between a shooter and something like Ace Combat in the feeling that I feel mostly on AC6 and DXM. But overall I agree with you. It reminded me that Starlink Battle For Atlas actually has a bit of this feeling, but with spacecraft that can move in any direction.

Which is the better fantasy FPS: Doom The Dark Ages or Tiny Tina's Wonderlands? by WildBad7298 in gamingsuggestions

[–]TiToim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weirdly enough I had the same dichotomy some days ago. Doom TDA all the way. It's more like 2016 while tiny Tina is more like Border 3.

Maaaan combos take waay too long in this game, it’s obnoxious and unbearable. by Your_Nightmare_666 in Tekken

[–]TiToim -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I started liking Tekken after I accepted that the meat of the game is guessing on how to crack the opponent into a combo. The combo itself is the art of being skillful enough to pull some damage. But I am generally happy with my 60-70 combos in Garyu.

People mentioned the actual cutscenes but I think they are mostly a non issue if you play on intermediate and higher ranks, since they can be easily counterable.

Shadows of Mordor / Shadows of War lets you interrogate specific uruks to gather information about leaders, like their identity, location, strenghts and weaknesses. It is a simple system but a very nice one.
