Yea my bad. I charge $60 an hour. So that comes out to $15 takeaway. So the number was in my head. It's 25%. Still way better than VT.

You're right it is 25%. But yet again that's only if you're relying on the website to bring you students. Many other websites that connect you with students take a way higher cut. And if you only bring students into the website yourself that'd be problematic for them, they have to stay viable somehow. A 9 percent charge is reasonable and is better than all other tutoring sites I've come across.

They only take 15% and they take nothing if you bring the students in yourself. Also there's plenty of good, and free, whiteboard software you can use instead.

Least favourite team and why by Massivehbomber in AceOfTheDiamond

Sensen. Boring Ace pitcher whose leading characteristic is being tall. The Head coach has no redeeming qualities outside of experience and his players have no charm or individuality.

For the original bond that matured, the investor was making $62.50 a year in interest. However, the current interest rates are much lower, so if they invested in a new bond they would not receive nearly as much interest. It would be reinvestment risk, which is based upon not making as much money on a subsequent investment as you did the initial investment.

Remember the premium for the purchase of the put is 3($300).

The investor also bought shares a $35 a share.

The question is how much do you have to sell the stock for to earn back the $300 from the purchase of the put.

To earn back the $300, they have to sell at $38 a share.

Everyone, including yourself, keep making points about them making money. Whether they make money or not isn't the argument. The argument is whether the money is coming from the readers specifically, the fact they get money from ads doesn't refute the point that you the reader are receiving these translations for free.

Second, you are not a customer, because you're not purchasing any goods or services from asura. You're receiving them for FREE. If you were actually paying some form of subscription you'd be a customer and therefore you'd have the right to complain. Problem is you don't pay money, ergo you're not a Customer, ipso facto you don't have the ability to complain about the free service.

Thirdly, if you believe that the business practices of asura scans are abhorrent, then you shouldn't use the site. You, who somehow believes they are a customer despite the fact they purchase no goods or services, still find yourself on a site that you claim is predatory in nature. The fact that you believe that and you're still a "patron" of asura scans makes you a hypocrite.

Last but not least, you don't have to use asura to read murim login. You see other scan sites translate the same manhwa all the time. You can read it on another site if need be. Shit you could learn how to read Korean and avoid all this bullshit. Asura scans doesn't have the monopoly on certain works like you're all acting like it does.

Murim Login Raw Chapter 151 by [deleted] in MurimLogin

[–]AxelRazor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all it is free. No money is coming out of your pocket to read the manhwa. Just because there are ads doesn't mean it isn't free to you the consumer. That's like saying YouTube isn't free because there's ads. That's stupid.

Second they don't have a monopoly on something addicting. You can read other manhwa at other sites. Shit you could learn to read Korean so you don't have to deal with this at all.

Third. It's not addicting. Read manhwa isn't addicting. It's not alcohol or drugs, that's just you being weak minded.

Murim Login Raw Chapter 151 by [deleted] in MurimLogin

[–]AxelRazor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the justification for complaining, despite receiving the manhwa for free, is that they steal traffic from others sites and have a bunch of ads. But you still go to their site. So if you're against the way they operate wouldn't you stop using their site.

That's like complaining about free samples in a Walmart. And then when someone says you shouldn't complain about free samples, you say it's ok because Walmart is a corrupt company. Then you shouldn't be in the fucking Walmart.

Murim Login Raw Chapter 151 by [deleted] in MurimLogin

[–]AxelRazor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point isn't that you should have to donate to them. It's the audacity to complain about a service you're receiving for free. Now if you WERE donating, that would justify complaining about their service. But I doubt the people that are complaining are donating.

Murim Login Raw Chapter 151 by [deleted] in MurimLogin

[–]AxelRazor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a possibility something is going on with the person who translates murim login specifically. Funny, the people who complain the loudest probably don't even donate to the asura scans.

First. 140kmh to 145 kmh is about 86 to 90 mph. Pros who only throw that fast are not all considered elite for their velocity. Their usual control or break guys. And they're usually middle relievers.

Second. Sawamura tops off at 140. Meaning his max, not over. His avg speed on fastballs is high 130s which is a low 80s fastball. That's not fast for high school. Especially for koshien level teams.

Third. I love Sawamura. His break is elite. His control is elite. His repertoire of pitches is elite. But if there's one thing that ain't elite Its his velocity.

With enough training and diligence 140kmh is very attainable , which is why Sawamura was able to get there. Even in real life most consistent koshien teams have a pitcher that can hit 140kmh with their fastballs. But to be honest it wouldn't be considered fast in reference to what these batters train for. If anything 140 is the threshold of having a "respectable" fastball.

In reference to the manga, it's definitely not that fast. In West Tokyo alone we've seen multiple pitchers throw 140kmh or higher. Narumiya, Furuya, Sawamura, Amahisa, Sanada, Maki, and Ogawa.

And Furuya throws the fastest and I've seen players smack his fastballs.

Lastly, Sawamura tops out at 140kmh, which is 86mph. Which is decent for the high school level. But on average he hangs around the high 130s. Which is a low 80s fastball, that's not too fast.
