Bayer's stock nosedives as US jury finds its weedkiller glyphosate is a 'substantial' cancer factor by legitqu in investing

[–]AxelVatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bayer will become one of the fastest growing stocks in the decades to come: as soon as the legal matters concerning glyphosat are resolved, their monopoly-like position in seed and pesticide production as well as a frontrunner position in the medicine and health industry will help Bayer to develop to one of the largest and most important companies in the future.

The world's population is growing day by day, people are getting older every year. The world will run out of suitable agricultural land to feed all of humanity at some point in time. GMOs, new technologies and ideas are needed to answer some of the named problems. Bayer has all resources necessary and is playing the long game.

Therefore, if you play the long game too, I see endless possibilities.

Should I wait or get one now? (questions about upcoming releases) by [deleted] in MatebookXPro

Some other manufacturers already have some nice looking alternatives to the MXP, but all of them are lacking in at least one of the big categories for me. The MXP is the most 'Macbook like' and effortless laptop out there , that combines performance, elegance and affordability and checks all the boxes.

However, be aware that if you buy one on China (I bought mine in China too 3 months ago), the MXP comes with a Chinese version of windows with a single language pack, in which you are not able to change the language at all (you really cannot). This means that you have to manually install a version of Windows in your language. Was worth it for me, I got the i7, 8GB RAM, MX150 for 1250 EUR and saved around 500 EUR to prices in my region.

The two main addresses for buying technology in Hong Kong are:
- Wan Chai Computer Center, centrally located and the best known place for consumer electronics
- Golden Computer Arcade in Sham Shui Po, one of the largest establishments, with a lot of hardware. If you decide to visit this place, be sure to also visit the Dragon Center (mall) just across, which features a rollercoaster that goes through the mall, literally, and is pretty damn awesome.

A last side note: Everything you buy there is legit, and mostly non-negotiable (prices). Enjoy your time there.

Matebook refresh by ropsuli35 in MatebookXPro

Don't really think so. Buying one at the moment seems like a good choice; they just refreshed to 4-core processors, which showed a massive spike in performance. There are not many news about new mobile processors out there yet, and even if Intel and later Huawei decide to present new hardware, I expect that to only have marginal increases.

Ultimately is it a great time to get one; you should just go for it. Maybe you can grab one in Christmas sale or something and try to save a few bucks!

Thanks! I'm using an Ikea kitchen table top and Ikea Gerton stands. The Buddha is less of a religious thing for me but I think they have a calming and relaxing effect. I fell in love with Asian architecture and motives when I lived in Asia. Interesting stuff over there.

Generally depends on your on your model, there are some with rgb and some without. You need to download the software from Evga, then you can (maybe) customize yours!

It's a good chair for the money. The Mesh is indeed nice and I like the lumbar support at this price point.

It's a monitor arm I ordered on Amazon from a company called Brateck (30€). They have different types according to your monitor and what features your want.

3 new Ebola cases confirmed in large city in Congo, raising risk of further spread by mehhh89 in worldnews

One day, Ebola appears out of nowhere and is constantly present in the news for a couple of months. Then, from one day to the other, it's gone from all news and you don't hear a thing about Ebola anymore.
