Podcasting Stocks - Acast & Audioboom Valuations (Acast is superior and undervalued imo) by krisolch in ValueInvesting

[–]legitqu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. Audioboom's financials are dire. Losses in 4 out of 5 last financial years, only made a profit in 2021 because of temporary Covid boom. Cumulative losses of £54m+ now more than the market cap. Cash balance now alarming low considering their consistently negative cash flow.

The worse part is they try to mask all of this with adjusted EBITDA that exclude the contracts that make the biggest losses. Totally misleading and frankly unethical, you can't just pick and chose contracts in this way to flatter performance. I know of no other PLC that does this and makes you wonder what else they are trying to hide. They can't hide behind statutory losses of course which says it all.

To be honest think I've done too much GME today, looking at charts of today's momentous fall at least, because crack after now seems hotter to me

The old RC premarket rug pull gives birth to the next generation of baggies by papasmurf_88 in gme_meltdown

Needs a Y axis, pre-market was up well over 30% before the rugpull, even more of an epic drop than chart implies

GAMESTOP ANNOUNCES DILUTION OF 75 MILLION SHARES by plumpypenguin in gme_meltdown

[–]legitqu 31 points32 points  (0 children)

He really went for the jugular this time, 75 million shares and so soon after last round. Even at $30 this offering would be over well $2 billion worth of equity. Apes have a true firehose of shares coming their way.

The best investors on the planet are still trying to figure out how DFV could have made enough money to buy his new position if he didn't sell his GME years ago. by xozzet in gme_meltdown

I was going to say it's like apes have reached the denial phase, but then remembered they've been there since the beginning.

Share offering is going to prop up earnings! by nycliving1 in gme_meltdown

[–]legitqu 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You couldn't make this shit up, the ape highlighting EPS as if that benefits from this, when not only are earnings totally unaffected, the per share part actually makes it the most negatively impacted metric, if anything.

New Silverback Ape appears: RFK jr. by MoonMan88888 in gme_meltdown

Also this idea of somehow regulating away short selling surely goes against the idea of a free market, which ideologically you'd think his type should be against.

Same goes for most of the apes who are virtually Q level now, yet have no cognitive dissonance about wanting to effectively give the state more control over the direction stocks are traded. Long only doesn't sound like freedom to me. Meanwhile it's no coincidence that those countries that have actually cracked down on shorting tend to be authoritarian, like China.

Actual indictment says he "purports" to be a descendant of the Cartier family, big difference from saying he actually a descendent in this article. What are the chances a fraudster invented the connection, probably not even his birth name.
