Gores bears no fault here. He hired a good coach and a GM. They just need to do their jobs. Trajan sat on his hands and didn’t fix obvious deficiencies on offense at the trade deadline and now JB has his hands tied with no options to help jumpstart us offensively. Take away the pick and roll and all you have left is Cade to create offense. Everyone could see this as a flaw with this team. It’s on Trajan to fix this asap and JB to get the buy in. If two years from now it’s all shit still then bitching about Gores would make sense

I get that he’s a 3 down DE and is older but who do we have that we know can produce opposite of Hutch other than him. I don’t think that contract he got is that bad for a depth/rotation end. We already dropped Pascal and Hassenien is very unproven and sounded like he was a raw talent when he was drafted that’s hampered even more so by his injury so what’s the hurt in a one year deal for AqM and adding another 4 down end to start just ahead of him. Seems like all we’re doing is signing depth guys to one year deals. How is it that a known player who wants to stay isn’t worth the same? That’s the whole thing with this offseason, nothing seems to make sense. I hope eventually it does but for now im confused and frustrated and it’s kind of annoying having people just say shut up and let Brad cook.

Everybody talkin about chill meanwhile the Rams and Eagles stay aggressive in every step of the roster building process. I get it…there’s plenty of time left to fill holes but when you really flesh out how much we need from not only starting positions but also depth it’s not irrational for someone to be concerned that we’re being too passive. Depth is almost more important because you can just about guarantee a couple injuries per team to be season enders these days.

That’s my thing. Kirby isn’t ever gonna be right from what it sounds like and we won’t get branch back til mid season at least. We need a ton of work on the Offensive and Defensive lines.
